Wife to an extremely handsome, bearded, kind man. Coffee obsessed Artist who loves embracing her talents and sharing them with everyone that is willing. orms. Photography has been an interest and passion since high school. I remember going to our Vo tech center and loving being in the dark room learning how to develop my own photos. While that is a pretty dated practice, I find the same thrill in editing. Seeing my photos and visions come to life with every tweak on every slider. My goal is to capture all of the special (and sometimes raw) moments of your life. Our memories in our brain fade as we get older, I want to help make sure those memories stay around a lot longer. I enjoy making people smile. Bringing joy to you by capturing your beautiful family, your newborn baby, you senior graduating from high school, your proposal or even you and your best friend. The possibilities are endless. I enjoy a good challenge! So lets find that joy in you, and capture that memory! I would love to work with you!

Sometimes best friends come when you least expect it. Morgan moved to the same school as my kiddos a couple of years ago, and at first the girls didn't really hit it off, but now they are the best of friends, and I am thankful to have befriended Morgans mom too. We have spent a lot of time together with the band and have had the opportunity to become very close!

Sometimes life and business require a "Pause"
It is time for Sara DeHaan Photography to pause.
My responsibilities and hours have grown at the blueberry farm, I have grown to love it there, and it is home to me. I thought that lightening my workload with photography would be manageable, but at this time it is not. I can no longer stay up until 1am editing sessions, and spending my only time off on weekends at sessions. It isn't only unhealthy, but it isn't fair to my family.
If you know me personally you know that I am a people pleaser and really struggle to say no. So much that my dad bought me a bracelet to remind myself "You are allowed to say no"
I don't think this pause will be forever, and I know from time to time I will want to remain creative and will have some pop up sessions, but I will not be offering consistent sessions or taking on new clients at this time.
I know some of you have talked to me about your seniors next year, and I will still be doing these handful of seniors because I have committed and they are near and dear to my heart!
I hope that you all understand and know that there was a lot of prayer involved as the decision didn't come lightly. ❤

It really is bittersweet photographing your lifelong friends' kiddos. I have known Alyssa since she was itty bitty. Her mom and I have known each other practically forever. I feel like we blinked, and our girls are seniors, when it really seems like it was just yesterday, they were in kindergarten. You are a wonderful young lady Alyssa and am excited to continue to watch your grow as woman, in your faith and be successful in all you do! Alyssa is battling some unexpected health trials and could use all the extra prayers she can get for answers and solutions. ❤

Kait is a beautiful young lady who I had the pleasure of taking senior photos for. Her mom and I go way back, and I took her sisters senior photos two years ago too! A little bit of stress happens when you are trying to plan photos around tulips blooming, especially when a million people come to Tulip Time. We got super fortunate the tulips were still in bloom the day after the festival week and there were hardly any people around! The weather also was in our favor!

Miss Louise was not interested in having her picture taken this spring in our annual apple blossom photos, but dad came to the rescue with a snack, and I was able to snag some smiles!
