A new furry family member means it's time for a new session so she can have photos to match her brothers. And, I do believe this little lady did it in style. I love how she goes from cute and funny to an elegant model to a sporty gal, all in one session!

Here's the rest of my favorite images from the smile-inducing session I posted about earlier today! These images make me happy and the session to capture them was a ton of fun. This crew always comes in with happy faces, cute accessories and a mix of personalities to keep things interesting. Gertie was a little reserved when she first came in for photos, but this time she really came into her own as a little model and it was really rewarding to see that moment where it clicked for her and she began to have fun. Chini always brings the perfect mix of energy and joy (and a touch of the best kind of chaos), Cricket is a consummate professional and Honor is a dear old man who is happy wherever he goes. I bet you can guess who is who by looking through the images - they each show off their personality very well!!

This may be my favorite photo of 2026, so far. From the colors to Chini's big smile...and those glasses....I just feel like Chini perfectly embodies our "Pure Joy Wrapped in Fur" motto and everything about the image makes me happy. I hope it brings you a smile today too, and please come back for the full post of this amazing session later this evening!

I wanted to add this little highlight reel from our most recent Model Pet Project session. I don't want a single one of these little furry souls to get overlooked. Kittens are amazing and cute and wonderful, but they are also a lot of work for rescue groups when there is a massive influx during kitten season. Watching Over Whiskers gives each kitten a healthy and loving start to life, and each adult cat a fresh start towards the kind of life they deserve. Please support WOW and our many local rescue groups, especially now during kitten and puppy season. The need is great, and there's no amount of support too big or too small - supplies, volunteer time, a cup of coffee for the human caregivers, monetary donations, foster homes, adoptions....all are needed and appreciated!

Friends in dog sports - I need your help! I will be photographing the NADAC Trial hosted by Pure Joy Agility LLC on June 12-14 here in Springfield. I know what the usual moments captured at agility trials are, but I what I would like to know is what you really LOVE to see in your trial photos. Is there a certain obstacle that you like to have photographed the most, ie: coming out of the tunnel, jumping the bar, weave poles, going over the ramp, etc? Also, do you prefer shots that are just close up of your dog running, or ones where you are included in the image also? As always, I want to make these photos the best they can be and I would love to hear your input on what type of photos you love to come away with after a trial!

Not really a sneak peek...more of a "behind the scenes" sort of moment from Chini's high energy session. :D Oh, and her furry siblings were included too (even though she asked me not to mention them.) I'll post the real sneak peek soon...this session will definitely put a smile on your face!!

I can’t remember if I shared this before, but I just saw Jeanna’s post about it and didn’t want to miss a chance to show it off!. Killuminati Vet-Help founder Jeanna Callahan had a brilliant idea to incorporate her dogs into the remodel of her stair railings. She asked me to create an illustration of each of them that could be CNC cut from metal to be added into the rails. It was a challenge to figure out how to use minimal lines to recreate the likeness of each precious pup in a way that could be cut from one single piece. But, we worked until getting each dog just right and I am in love with the way it turned out. Thanks, Jeanna, for letting me be a part of this creative project!! I always know I’m in for a fun challenge when Jeanna says “so, I had this idea….”. 😍😍
