Friends in dog sports - I need your help! I will be photographing the NADAC Trial hosted by Pure Joy Agility LLC on June 12-14 here in Springfield. I know what the usual moments captured at agility trials are, but I what I would like to know is what you really LOVE to see in your trial photos. Is there a certain obstacle that you like to have photographed the most, ie: coming out of the tunnel, jumping the bar, weave poles, going over the ramp, etc? Also, do you prefer shots that are just close up of your dog running, or ones where you are included in the image also? As always, I want to make these photos the best they can be and I would love to hear your input on what type of photos you love to come away with after a trial!

Not really a sneak peek...more of a "behind the scenes" sort of moment from Chini's high energy session. :D Oh, and her furry siblings were included too (even though she asked me not to mention them.) I'll post the real sneak peek soon...this session will definitely put a smile on your face!!

I can’t remember if I shared this before, but I just saw Jeanna’s post about it and didn’t want to miss a chance to show it off!. Killuminati Vet-Help founder Jeanna Callahan had a brilliant idea to incorporate her dogs into the remodel of her stair railings. She asked me to create an illustration of each of them that could be CNC cut from metal to be added into the rails. It was a challenge to figure out how to use minimal lines to recreate the likeness of each precious pup in a way that could be cut from one single piece. But, we worked until getting each dog just right and I am in love with the way it turned out. Thanks, Jeanna, for letting me be a part of this creative project!! I always know I’m in for a fun challenge when Jeanna says “so, I had this idea….”. 😍😍

This beautiful girl has spent much of her life sharing her big happy smile with others - not only with her family and friends, but also in her work as a Pet Therapy Dog. Sissy recently received a difficult health diagnosis, but you'd never know it if you met her. She's still got the same chill, happy vibe and playful spirit as always and somehow you feel better by just being near her. I hope these photos convey some of her personality and showcase the love she is surrounded with!

Who is going to DOWNTOWN DOG DAY tomorrow? I am!! I can't wait to see everyone. I am getting back in the swing of things after my surgery break and I'm really excited to chat with friendly faces and snuggle happy doggos! If you spot me wandering the event, please say hello. I'm often scanning for photo ops and with that tunnel vision I don't always see everyone... so please know that I'm not ignoring you and would love to say hi!
