Part 1 of 2. I can’t believe it’s taken me over 2 years, but I have finally finished developing my photos from Greece. As I reflect upon the time spent there, I cannot help but feel awed. The funniest thing about reminiscing is that I don’t think of the magnitude of the Parthenon or the domes of Santorini…I remember the everyday beauty: the grape vines hovering over quiet Athens walkways, the fig and olive trees at every corner, and the bougainvillea that climbed every building it could. I remember the narrow whitewashed streets of Mykonos, the breathtaking sunsets of Santorini, and the stunning entryways to people’s homes that looked like doorways to other realms. While it was truly humbling to marvel at the Parthenon—to think of the centuries that have passed since its construction and the great thinkers who walked the Agora beneath it—I loved all the little details that make daily Grecian life beautiful. The shops, the kako mati 🧿 everywhere, the gardens, the statues of the gods still watching over cities, the columns on every building, and those stunning European skies. My heart is full and gratitude abound as I reflect upon my time in Greece, and I can’t wait to share more of these photos!

This is one of my absolute favorite images. After my uncle passed away, my parents acquired his 2 Ansel Adams prints (the other being of Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite). Photos like these inspired my love of photography at a young age. It was always my sincerest hope to be able to photograph just one photo in Adams' style one day. To be continued...

What I wouldn’t give to be staring at another Santorini Sunset 🌅😍 anyone else?? My thoughts from that time:
The sun kisses the sea before saying goodnight. The sky cools from ambers and reds to deep blues and violets. The heat of day, preserved in the rocks below, meets the chill of the evening, and everything is at peace. This is what I long for today. Peace.

I was so glad to be a part of the 2023 Hammonton Christmas Parade with Hammonton Pride (feat. 2023 Miss Hammonton Pride Dallas DuBois and 2022 MHP Maddy Milan)! We showed the town that we are not afraid (despite numerous threats), we exist, and that we are not "coming for the children." Representation matters, and I hope that even one person felt inspired to know that there are other people like them in their hometown. I was so pleased at the resounding welcome we received from so many paradegoers! Thanks to Max for organizing the entire float and marchers, to the Hammonton Fire Department for defending our place as a public organization to be able to be a part of the parade, and to the many organizations that joined us in solidarity, including Free Mom Hugs- New Jersey and the Atlantic County Q***r Alliance, among others! Thanks for allowing me to capture the first LGBTQ+ float in the Hammonton Christmas Parade, Max! I am grateful for your friendship and comradery 💕

Dreaming today about beautiful Venice. The winding cobbled paths, tiny bridges, and lovely people abound, this was the welcome I received to my first visit to Italy. The music and calls of Gondoliers filled the canals and streets, as I knew they had done for hundreds of years.
I was overwhelmed with the crowds but captivated by the simple charm of the city. “Grazie milles” were shouted at me every time I complimented the food that was unlike anything I’d tasted before.
I appreciated most the quiet moments when I suddenly found myself alone in an alley, or hid from the rain in the Acqua Alta bookshop. I hope to join the cavalcade of tourists again there someday.

Freedom of Expression is perhaps one of the inalienable rights we have taken for granted in this country. There was a very small window in history when LGBTQ+ were not being actively persecuted legally, but we are now seeing states roll back those protections. The Freedom of Expression is supposed to be protected by the Bill of Rights, and yet the same people who advocate for the Second Amendment seem to forget the First Amendment exists. They use “morality” as the primary reason for their discriminatory laws. What is immoral about a fun event like the one I photographed for Hammonton Pride? I’ve never seen so much joy in a room in my life.
