A race start with Spec3 E36 Racing

My first ever standing start was certainly an exciting one! These are definitely my favorite part of racing, but no abs paired with cold tires is certainly making me timid navigating these first few turns.

After a frustrating qualifying session filled with lock ups and mental mistakes, I swapped the flat spotted front tires for some new Team Toyo USA Proxes R’s, and the result was a much happier me.

Multi-class racing is fun. I like fun. // Spec3 E36 Racing

Race 2 of the weekend: A full course yellow bunched us all together for a pretty epic restart.

I still don’t have ABS which is not ideal for this sort of endeavor, so I’m still pretty cautious in most braking scenarios.

Regardless, this was a really fun sequence.

Just listen to Timothy Mather fire-spitting 1989 Nissan Skyline GTR hillclimb build run up the top section at Mt. Washington.

So much more incoming from this sensational event, including a complete documentary covering multiple drivers journey’s and accomplishments throughout the weekend. I simply cannot thank Gregory Wilcox enough for this fantastic opportunity to film and produce something this important, and I can’t wait to get started.

Waking up Lime Rock Park is a religious experience. // Spec3 E36 Racing

Episode 2 & 3 of the Spec3 build season are in the works, albeit moving slowly. A ton of client work for Gears and Gasoline Gregory Ward and QuattroSport has been my top priority these past few months, so I’m primarily editing my own videos late at night when I’m free.
