Stefani Rose Photography PNW wedding and portrait photographer focused on capturing real, authentic and beautiful photographs

In the fall of 2010, I fell in love with the interaction between light, color, and moments in peoples' lives. For me, a picture is truly beautiful when it means something special to someone, and that is where my passion lies. My sessions include, but are not limited to: weddings, individual portraits, family pictures, engagements/couples, maternity/newborn, and children. I am always learning, always searching for unique ideas, and always trying to outdo myself!

Lee Farms Sunflower Festival what a great place!! Not only is it gorgeous with fantastic photo shoot spots, but it’s so fun to take kids to—they have loads of stuff to play with, farm animals, a sunflower maze…it’s lots of fun. My client suggested it (thanks .b.taggart for such a great idea and an even greater photo shoot) and I will definitely be coming back—for photos and with my own kids 👏

Every type of light produces a different kind of beauty. The fog on the coast or the aftermath of rain creates a cozy PNW vibe especially when surrounded by fir trees. A nice cloudy day can cause skin to glow and creates great even tones (a relief to a photographer in the editing process). The sunny morning is alive with the promise of a new day, and afternoon shadows are charming and clean. I love all the different kinds of light for different reasons.

A sunset, though, and particularly the two hours before called “golden hour”, creates those deep, rich golden tones that just delights the eye. It’s not particularly the easiest to photograph in my opinion, especially for a true-to-life photographer who cringes at yellow color casts and orange skin. But there’s just something about the sun and the sky in those moment that speaks to the glory of God, and I think that’s why we gravitate towards it so much. I think we can all agree that it’s a beautiful and glorious thing to look at, plain and simple. I so enjoy working with the light, catching the gold, and using that creativity for my clients in that particular moment of their lives.

I think a big problem I have when it comes to posting my work, is that I have such a hard time choosing which ones to post. I put a lot of care and heart into each photo and don’t want to leave any out, but I have to choose. Which ones which ones is always my problem 🫣

So here is a 20 pic snippet of what I managed to choose out this time from this purely radiant spring morning when I met my clients at Deepwood Museum and Gardens. I don’t get to do morning sessions there often, and this morning the light was exceptionally lovely. And then my clients (I have had the honor of photographing their story since their engagement) showed up with their baby who was seriously one of the most smiley babies I’ve ever photographed, I honestly had to work very little for smiles. I wish I could share all the pics from this session, but well here we are!

Senior pictures!! On the beach!!! At golden hour!! Does it get any better than this?!?! Lilly rocked her senior session, and I wish I looked half this good when I was in high school! (I definitely did not 😆) It was windy and we walked a good ways to get to this little spot but it was well worth it, and man what a fantastic evening it was to have a senior beach session. .relk I’m excited for what the future holds for you and I had such a fun time getting to know you!! Okay cutest family, cutest baby, and prettiest house equals one happy photographer 😎 We did a family lifestyle session a few weeks ago and it was so sweet, chill and fun to capture. It brings me so much joy to capture a family in their element and who they are together, and the particular stage of life they are in. Like yesterday I did family photos at a park and at the end I captured kids being kids: climbing all over the play equipment. Just good, fun memories!

Did a little photo shoot the other day that included the kids, handed my camera off to my niece for some nice ones of me and this is what happened 🤣*sigh* still got some though!
