A little life update from behind the camera 🤍
This year has held a lot of change for our family — some incredibly exciting, and some really, really hard.
As many of you may know, we had to say goodbye to our amazing girl, Josi. We miss her more than I can put into words. She was such a huge part of our family and was by my side through so many different seasons of my life. She taught Koen so much in the short time they had together and I can’t thank her enough for that.
We know she’s watching over our family from Heaven. Every once in a while, Koen still says her name, and it’s one of those little things that breaks my heart and makes me smile at the same time. We miss her so much, and I know she’ll always be a part of our family.
One of the last photos I took with her was this one — her beside me and the new baby. I know she knew. 🤍
Baby Bestick is expected December 10th, and we are so excited to meet the newest little member of our family.
With that also comes a little update for Chain Lakes Photography. My final sessions of the year will be Tree Farm Minis on November 8th. After that, I’ll officially be stepping away from sessions for maternity leave and soaking in this time with my family.
I’m planning to return in March 2027, refreshed and ready for another year of capturing all of your families ❤️
It feels a little bittersweet to be approaching such a long break from something I love so much, but I’m also incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to slow down, welcome this baby, and be present with my family.
Thank you to every single person who has trusted me with your memories this year and continued to support my little business. It means more to me and my family than you know.
Here’s to remembering the ones we miss, loving the season we’re in, and looking forward to all that’s still to come. 🤍
