Hi friends! I need your help! If you have ever been a photography client of mine, or have worked with me at all, can you please hop over to my Google listing and leave a positive review?

I had a bad experience recently with an event planner, who has left a negative review of my business. She was unhappy with the way I edited the clients’ photos and demanded that I re-edit them, which I said no to. The work I produced was consistent with my editing style, which is clearly seen in my portfolio. She also lied in the review saying that I sat down (untrue) and ate dinner (which the client instructed me to do).

Most of my positive reviews are on Facebook and Wedding Wire/The Knot. I don’t have many Google reviews. So one bad review drags down my overall rating.

Hi, friends! ✨ I’m Jennifer, the photographer behind Jennifer Miller Photo. If we haven’t met yet, here’s a little about me!

I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always the friend with a camera in hand 📸, documenting every moment. My photo albums and scrapbooks were overflowing with memories captured on disposable cameras, a Polaroid, film cameras, and eventually digital point-and-shoots. In 2013, I got my first DSLR to take better pictures of my kids—little did I know that just two years later, I’d be launching my own photography business! 💕

Beyond photography, I’m a total Swiftie (impatiently waiting for Reputation (Taylor’s Version) to drop! 🖤🐍), and my brand colors—pink, purple, and teal—are inspired by some of my favorite Taylor Swift eras. 🎶 I’m also a Broadway musical lover, with Wicked holding the top spot in my heart. 💚✨ When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me reading 📖, writing ✍️, or dreaming up creative projects.

To do a first look or not to do a first look? That is the question! 🤔

If you’re on the fence, here are a few things to consider:

💛 Do a first look if…
• You want a private, intimate moment before the ceremony.
• You’d like to ease any pre-ceremony nerves.
• You want more time for couple portraits earlier in the day.

💍 Skip the first look if…
• You love the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the altar.
• You’re okay with squeezing all your couple portraits into cocktail hour.
• You want to keep the anticipation high until the ceremony.

There’s no right or wrong choice—just the one that feels best for *you*! As your photographer, I’ll make sure your timeline flows smoothly no matter what you decide. 💕

✨Wedding industry, it’s time to stop calling out “Brides!” in your marketing! 💍✨

Hey fellow wedding vendors, let’s talk about something that’s been a staple in the industry for way too long—calling out “Brides!” in ads, posts, and marketing materials.

I get it. Traditionally, brides have been the primary planners of weddings. But times have changed, and so should the way we address our potential clients.

Here’s why:
🤵🏻‍♂️ Grooms plan weddings too – Many grooms are just as involved in the planning process, and assuming otherwise can make them feel overlooked.

💍 Couples make decisions together – Even if one person is more hands-on, most major wedding choices are made as a team.

🤵🏽‍♂️🤵🏼‍♂️Not every wedding has a bride – Two grooms getting married don’t need to see “Brides!” plastered everywhere to know they’re not being considered.

Instead of narrowing your audience with “brides,” try using more inclusive terms like “couples,” “engaged folks,” or “future newlyweds.” Small changes like this help make the wedding industry more welcoming to all couples, not just the ones that fit a “traditional” mold.

Spring is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier! ☀️🌸 Nothing lifts my spirits quite like seeing the trees burst into bloom and knowing that winter is *officially* behind us. The struggle with the “winter blues” is real, but spring brings fresh energy, longer days, and of course—gorgeous flowers that make the perfect backdrop for sparkling engagement rings! 💍✨ Who else is ready for warm breezes, golden sunsets, and wedding season in full bloom? 🌿💖

✨ Wedding Tip: Plan your ceremony time with sunset in mind! 🌅 The hour before sunset—also known as golden hour—creates the most dreamy, romantic light for your photos. If you want that soft, glowing magic ✨, set aside time for couple portraits right before sunset. Trust me, you won’t regret it! 📸💛

Four years ago today, I spent St. Patrick’s Day in my favorite city—Savannah, GA! 🍀✨ Ever since I first picked up a camera, I dreamed of photographing here, and in 2021, that dream came true. Capturing a styled shoot among the historic buildings and draping Spanish moss was pure magic! 💚📸 And to top it off, I got to experience Savannah’s legendary St. Paddy’s celebrations, with fountains dyed green and the whole city alive with energy. Take me back! Who else has celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah?

Throwing it back to where it all began! ✨ In September 2015, I stepped in last minute to assist a friend at a wedding, thinking wedding photography wasn’t for me… and honestly, I had *no clue* what I was doing. 😅📸 Little did I know, that that day would change everything! I fell in love with capturing love, and here I am—10 years and over 200 weddings later—living my dream! ❤️ Grateful for every couple, every love story, and every moment I’ve been lucky enough to capture. 🥂✨

✨One of the things I’m proudest of in my 10-year journey as a wedding photographer is the class I created in 2021 on inclusivity in the wedding photography industry. I wanted to help fellow photographers authentically present themselves as inclusive and create a welcoming space for all couples—especially same-sex couples. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

As a wedding photographer, my goal has always been to create a space where ALL love stories are celebrated. This class was my way of giving back to the industry and ensuring every couple feels seen and valued. Inclusivity isn’t just a buzzword—it’s about making sure love is captured in its truest, most beautiful form. 📸✨

A huge thank you to The Wimbish House in Atlanta for graciously allowing me to host this workshop and styled shoot in such a stunning and historic space! 🏛️💛
