This is exactly why I love photography!

While we were waiting our turn to take photos at the Arch at University of Georgia, Sofia’s dad asked me what I loved most about being a photographer.

And then, just moments later, I captured this.

A daughter standing in the middle of one of the most meaningful milestones of her life… while her parents hold her close and kiss her with so much love and pride.

That is the answer.

What I love most about photography is knowing that I am freezing a moment that will never exist again in exactly the same way.

Because years from now, this photo will become more than just an image.

It will remind them of who Sofia was in this season of life.

Of how proud they felt.

Of the joy, the love, the excitement of this day.

Life will keep moving forward and bring many more beautiful moments.

But this exact one?
This version of their daughter?
This chapter of their lives?

It only happened once.

And somehow, photography allows us to hold onto it forever.
That’s what I love the most of being a photographer! ❤️

At University of Georgia, Sanford Stadium is so much more than a football stadium… it’s where memories, traditions, and school spirit come alive. ❤️🖤

For UGA students, moments like these become part of their story forever.

In the first photo of this set Sofia is holding the newspaper from UGA’s historic 2023 National Championship win.

That victory became part of UGA history, giving the Bulldogs their second consecutive national title and creating memories students and fans will never forget.

The perfect way to celebrate Sofia’s graduation and her years at UGA. 🎓

Seeing Sofia sitting by the fountain at University of Georgia, celebrating such a huge accomplishment, made my heart so happy.

I’ve watched this sweet girl grow up, and being the one behind the camera for this milestone is something I’ll always treasure.

These moments go by so fast… and that’s exactly why photographs matter so much.

Watching Sofia grow up and now having the honor of capturing her senior session at University of Georgia feels incredibly special.

We walked through some of the most iconic spots on campus, including the Chapel Bell, capturing not only this exciting milestone, but also the joy, confidence, and light she carries into this new season of life.

Sofia, congratulations on your graduation! I am so proud of the amazing young woman you’ve become. Your future is so bright.

Lately, I’ve been photographing seniors, capturing their smiles, their excitement, the pride in their eyes as they wear their cap and gown. You can feel it… that sense of accomplishment after reaching such an important milestone.

And in the middle of all that joy, I find myself thinking…

How fast time really goes. 😳

Because one day, you’re in the middle of the moment… and before you know it, it becomes a memory.

As we grow, our perspective shifts. We begin to understand that these moments (the big ones and the quiet in-betweens) are not just meant to be lived… they’re meant to be preserved.

Photographs do that for us.😉

They hold what time tries to move forward.

They give us a way to come back… again and again.

And that’s what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Knowing that through my lens, I get to help preserve these once-in-a-lifetime moments… so they can be felt, remembered, and relived for years to come.

Because some moments deserve more than just being lived. They deserve to be kept!
