"Why would you want your kids to see you birth?", they ask?

Why would you NOT want them to see you as the strongest, most powerful force of nature on the planet? Why would you want to keep that from them? Wouldn't you rather take the fear away, and let them see the glory and awesomeness of it? How could that not impact the way they see birth, the way they support birth, the way they think of birth in the future?

And for extra bonus points, why not share it with the aunties also?

This wasn't planned that way, she accidentally went into labor during a family birthday party she decided to host at her home….then was in denial about being in labor….

The rest is history. Or rather, herstory.

THE thing they don't warn you about before you have kids which hits HARD....

Your furbaby gets demoted. Your first baby, the one who helped you learn how to be a good parent suddenly is....less prioritized.

But they are still there, helping you, checking on things, and still a HUGE part of the family (NO PUN INTENDED HERE). Thats why a LOVE including the pets at our newborn sessions. They often think the session is for them, and I would NEVER correct them...

I used to think photography was just a fun hobby, then over time I learned it was SO much more than that.

Putting this together made me realize how impactful photography has been for me. Photography has taken me to places I never imagined I'd get to go. It gives me a voice when I don't know what to say. It gives me a community of liked minded souls. It gives me wings, makes me challenge my fears, gives me the bravery to travel to unknown places and introduce myself to complete strangers. It's my canvas and my brushes and my paints. It's the gift that keeps on giving, and I look forward to what the next 10 years brings.

These are by no means "perfect" photographs, but that's the beauty of photography. What I CAN see is change and growth in my work, and I plan to continue to study, learn, grow, and take risks. And to photograph just for me, and just for fun, as well as in my client work.

What is a floral milk bath session? Here is the short version.

You are in a tub, the water is warm & inviting. There are fresh flowers floating around you. I am photographing you from above and at various angles, and the whole thing looks like a painting when it is done.

Here is who it is actually for - ANYONE who wants something that feels luxurious and a little otherworldly and deeply personal.

I have photographed mamas who did them as a way to honor their breastfeeding journey, like this beautiful session here from last week.

I have photographed women who just wanted something beautiful made of them. Both are completely valid reasons.

In both cases, this is much more than "just making artwork"....it's therapeutic. Ask anyone who has done this with me....they'll tell you ;)

They are a moment to celebrate YOU, and to make beautiful art while doing so.

Possibly the most amazing moment of birth sequence ever of all time.

The littlest sister had been attentively caring for her mom in the regular birth tub when we needed to shift gears and ended up in the bathroom tub. Sissy decided she needed to go get herself dressed while everyone was busy helping Mom.

She somehow managed to dress herself, all by herself, in the most fabulous outfit even though she was dripping wet. Belt and all.

She came back just in time to meet her baby brother as he emerged from the water.

These are the details we will never forget! Huge thanks to the epic birth team Palms Birth House , Camina Wellness and Midwifery Samara Andreadis. It took a village, and a whole family!

World Breastfeeding Week 2026 continues!

This will forever be one of my favorite projects. Grateful for all these women who showed up to normalize breastfeeding, AND support those who took different path. Because no matter what, it takes a village to raise a child. And we Moms need to stick together and raise each other up.
