I think it's only fitting to use this image to ride off into the sunset, so to speak, and close out my season of seniors.
This was one of those magical moments. We were a pasture or two back behind the stables when it started to rain. I packed away my camera and Shelby hopped on MayDay and began to ride off when the image took shape. I pulled my camera back out and yelled for Shelby to look back, snap, camera back in it's protective bag and Shelby rode off to get MayDay out of the storm.
Drops of rain falling, gorgeous leading line of trees, tall grasses and leaves falling into a bokeh background with groovy greens, Earth tones showcasing that ethereal white and a pop of color... and the beauty of a girl and her horse moving as one. Perfection.
I have loved these moments with you and your family. Thank you for trusting me to capture these forever treasures. I will carry this honor with me always.
And with that, after 15 years, I will no longer be offering senior sessions. It's time to spend more time with my family and maybe, just maybe, some time in the garden.
Thank you for the many years of support! Sending love and gratitude to all my Senior families out there!
This was the last shot I took of Shelby and Mayday before the storm stopped our senior session last night. I kind of love it, though...the rain adds so much texture and story to the shot!
