Thank you to race director Leon for honoring the dedication and sacrifice of our military personnel, veterans and emergency responders. I enjoyed attending this event and taking a few photos. I was not able to attend the entire race due to a prior scheduling conflict. Photos are available for free in my online gallery. Here are some of my favorites.

I’ve lived most of my life in the Great Lakes region but haven’t forgotten my Appalachian roots. The mountains have forever captured a piece of my heart.

When you attend the Beer Run and Wine Walk Series events hosted by Dig the dunes, you get to see beautiful places and support a great cause. Part of the proceeds from events benefit Giant Paw Prints Rescue in Indiana. I got to meet Reggie "Reg" (pictured below) at last night's event. He was adopted from Giant Paw Prints Rescue as a puppy and is now living the best life. I always have fun and make new friends at Dig the Dunes events. I've added some more photos to the gallery.

I am thankful for all the friendships I've made out on the trail. I love my running community.

Trail running and friendship blend the grit of the dirt with shared endurance. There are no better ways to express this bond than finding the motivation to overcome challenges together.
