The Great Blue Heron once again. This time he/she had caught a small fish and was tossing it in its beak to get it ready to eat. If you zoom in you will see the fish now parallel and in flight with the heron's mouth open. One of the better wildlife shots I've been fortunate to capture in quite some time. Enjoy!

What I believe to be a heron or Great Blue Heron on our wetlands in Skaneateles. Watch the incredible pursuit and capture of a small catfish-like fish. I want sure of there were gosh in our ponds and wetlands but this now confirms it. We do!

Watching these grand birds is a true honor. I was lucky to capture many photos and videos of what may be the same bird as in 2022.

Yesterday’s early morning walk around 6:30 AM. Woodland trails are coming along and the property is beginning to awaken. Soon, seeds will go in the ground.

Just a couple days ago doing some clearing in the woodlands. Roughly 24 degrees out there. This is from the very back of our property on the NW corner looking across the back field.

Moments ago I heard loud calls from what had to be a large bird. After waiting outdoors for a few minutes I spotted this gorgeous creature in a tree just outside our house. What a great thing to start your morning with.
