Good morning, everyone! It’s been a little while since I did a “Meet the Photographer” post, so here goes.
My name is Joshua Harris, and I’ve been doing photography for about five years. I’m mostly self-taught, with a little help from some great mentors who continue to share what they’ve learned with me.
I’m a volunteer firefighter with a local fire department, and I work as a truck driver for a local municipality. Photography isn’t my main job, but my passion for it has made it much more than just a hobby.
I love photographing people, places, and things—but especially people. My biggest passion is capturing local emergency responders at work, from firefighters and EMTs to law enforcement officers and others who serve our communities.
I also photograph seniors, families, and small weddings.
I enjoy sharing photos of everyday folks: hardworking Americans and everyday heroes. Through my photography, I try to help others get to know the people I meet and shine a spotlight on community members who deserve recognition.
I truly believe everyone has a story to tell—from a newborn baby to an elderly grandfather sitting on the porch, watching the sun go down.
