This is one of my very favorite places in the world, and I’m amazed each and every time I go by how magical these paths feel. Walking beneath a canopy of ancient trees, walls of green around you.. there’s nothing quite like it. LMK if your dreams look like this, too, and we can get you married in Olympic National Park!

Marcus & David had the dreamiest day at Snoqualmie Falls, exploring the trails with me in the morning before the main event at Salish Lodge & Spa ❤️ some portraits of the grooms, a beautiful ceremony above the falls, and an intimate dinner party with their closest friends and family. Can you imagine a better day?🥰

There’s no better feeling in the world than when the mountain is out, the sun is shining, and the wildflowers are blooming all around you😍

Also no better feeling than staying on trail knowing that you’re not damaging the beautiful landscape around you! This couple is on an official trail, no wildflowers or microfauna were harmed in the making of this photo! 🌸🩷🤙🏼

Mt. Rainier National Park is always gorgeous, rain or shine… but of course, we always hope that the mountain will be out on your elopement day🤞🏼 I didn’t think she’d make an appearance on this day, since she was completely invisible on my drive up the mountain. A teeny sliver of evidence that there is, in fact, a mountain was visible at the base right before we were set to start shooting. And then, miraculously, the clouds started to clear. By the end of the night, we had completely clear skies and the entirety of Rainier visible in front of us! I was so thrilled for Quennie & Jonathan to have been able to witness Tahoma in all of her glory🥰

A cutie little courthouse elopement! I’m coming up on my 6 year Seattle-versary and this is the first time I’ve gotten to shoot at our courthouse! I loved it, and Cindy and Raymond were such a joy to photograph🥰🥰 enjoy this little sneak peek into a perfect afternoon together, wildfire smoke and all!

We’d been planning this day for well over a year and I still could not have anticipated just how perfect it would be. The night before Claire & Garrett’s big day, I spent an hour diving into weather forecasts to figure out if wildfire smoke would affect our day, and if so, by how much. Should we rearrange the timeline, cancel the hike, select an easier trail, pivot our plans entirely? Was it going to be smoky, or rainy, or smoky then rainy? What was the likelihood that we’d get the forecasted thunderstorms?

In the end, none of that research mattered- the weather was on our side. We got to focus entirely on having a good time, laughing with guests, soaking up the sunshine, devouring homemade empanadas during the beautiful picnic that Seattle Wedding & Elopement Planner set up, and taking in the incredible views around us. At the end of the night, we stood by our cars talking, not wanting the day to end!

It was a dream day, start to finish, and I’m so excited to start sharing the photos💘💘

World's Best Wedding Photos has selected this as a winner in their portrait contest! This sweet photo of these parents of the groom from an intimate elopement in June is one of my favorite photos of the year– I think we all deserve to have photos like this of our parents and grandparents (and ourselves!)

It’s easy sometimes to get caught up in the work during summer’s busy season and lose sight of the legacy these photos hold. Winning contests is definitely not my goal lol, but it does serve as a nice reminder that these photographs exist outside of my own computer! They have a story and their own meaning! They are out there for others to behold and love and cherish. And I’ll always be thankful for that reminder💘

A year ago yesterday, Sam, Abby, and I hopped on a sea plane and had the cutest adventure in the islands of Washington getting these two engaged!! Kenmore Air took such good care of us on this gorgeous day🥰 take me back!
