This is Riley hanging out at Manzanita Beach a few weeks ago.

I had just finished a really fun family session on the beach so I had my camera on and ready when I walked up to Riley and his people and stopped dead in my tracks. Riley’s eyes struck me at first, then I couldn’t take my eyes or attention off this very special creature.

I hung out for a few minutes, chatting with Riley’s people and getting to know Riley first hand, which topped off my morning with wonderful energy and made my day extra awesome!

Tunnel beach, low tide, Wednesday, July 29th.

I went to Oceanside and Tunnel Beach Wednesday morning and the tide was out far enough to see some really cool stuff. There were clusters of mussels around and I’ve never seen mussels that big before! The sea stars and anemones were abundant too, as you can see here!
