✨ Feeling so honored! ✨

I’m beyond grateful to share that JMS Photography OBX made it to the Top 5 in the OBX Best of the Beach contest! While I didn’t take home first place, being nominated and standing alongside some of the most talented photographers in our area is such an honor in itself.

From the bottom of my heart – thank you to everyone who voted, supported, and continues to cheer me on in this journey. Your encouragement means the world to me, and I feel so lucky to do what I love here on the Outer Banks. 💙📸

🌊 From Behind the Lens to Making My Own Memories 🌊

All summer long, I’ve had the joy of capturing your beautiful family moments here in the OBX — sunsets, sandy toes, laughter, and all. 📸💛

Now it’s my turn to trade the camera (well, maybe just a little) for some quality time with my own kiddos before the school year begins. We’re sneaking away for a short trip to soak in some adventures and make a few memories of our own.

Don’t worry — I know I’m a little behind on editing, but I’m still working behind the scenes while we’re away. I’m doing my best to get everyone’s galleries loaded as soon as possible so you can relive your summer memories, too.

Thank you to all my amazing clients who’ve filled my summer with joy — I’m so grateful for each of you! I’ll be back soon, ready to keep freezing your special moments in time. 💙

📸 Family + Sunset + Sibling Shenanigans = OBX Magic 🌅

Had the absolute pleasure of photographing this sweet vacationing family at the pier this week! Mom, Dad, and their two teenage boys brought all the love, laughs—and just the right amount of brotherly horseplay—to their sunset session.

Between the golden light, the crashing waves, and those candid moments of sibling energy, this shoot was everything we love about OBX family photography. 💛
