There’s an old saying that “a woman never looks better than on horseback” ~Jane Austen and after this shoot, I couldn’t agree more! I was reduced to tears watching Ashley rip through the pasture on her horse in her wedding dress was a bucket list shoot for me. is over here making everybody’s dreams come true!

A bride getting ready in the bedroom that she grew up in will always be a special thing for me to photograph. I think sometimes we look at photos and it’s a shallow perspective that we view with. We look to see what is aesthetically pleasing. Is it compositionally pretty and follow the rules of photography? Do we like the clothing choices and wedding day details? And those are all valid things to think on and enjoy, but what about the deeper story? This has been the thought that has challenged how I photograph each wedding. Because while trends are very real and very much a part of the wedding industry and I fully plan to continue to enjoy them, the story of a couples’ love is where the magic is.

Happy Birthday to my favorite human ever! 41 looks good on you babe. I’m so thankful and blessed to have experienced 18 of those birthdays with you! Praying for many many more! Let’s do a few fun facts about Matt. (He loves fun facts lol) #1. He was a professional powerlifter for years and has a few 😉 state and world records. #2. He’s good at anything he does! (No I’m not bitter that I lose every game to him) #3. He’s the fight to my flight. He saved our daughter Mackenzie from drowning in our vacation pool rental when she was 3. You want to talk about a new level of love unlocked. #4. He’s the best dad I’ve ever seen. No really, he’s the best🥰. So on this December 18th, 41st birthday I want to say you’re magic Matt. My favorite weddings are always those ones who stay true to who they are. In a world of endless knowledge, constant inspo and curated highlight reels, it can become so easy to get caught up in the trends and what everyone else is doing. Throw out that Pinterest Checklist babe and make your wedding exactly what you envision. When you look back one day years down the road, wedding day choices that reflect the two of you will always trump trends.

2022 has left me feeling on top of the world. I’ve seen a lot of people post that they’re happy to see 2022 go and the year won’t be missed, but I’m thankful for how great 2022 was. Annie Trammel Photography had the best year ever, and for that I’m so grateful. Thank you for the support and love!
