The ʻĪao Valley on the island of Maui is pretty much the closest thing I've ever seen to paradise.

There's some paved trails near the visitors center but if you leave those and follow the stream up into the hills you'll be taken to a whole different world. There are a bunch of swimming holes with rocks to jump off of and wild mangos ripe for the picking. This is one place I need to get back to...

This is one of my favorite views in the world right here.

This is the Wolf Creek Valley Overlook just east of Pagosa Springs, CO. You can't really see this view as you drive by due to some high walls, so it is easy to miss, but trust me it's worth stopping for.

I spent some time at Great Sand Dunes National Park recently and came away with a ton of shots.

This place is surreal, it's like a little piece of the Sahara desert tucked away in the colorado mountains.

I always liked the way Ansel Adams sometimes overdarkened his skyies to enhance the contrast of the clouds. The deep blue Colorado sky made this easy to pull off while processing this shot.
