Same outfit. Same location. Completely different looks.

What you're seeing here is just one small part of Caitlyn's Senior Experience. The peonies were blooming, so we made the most of a beautiful moment before it disappeared. 🌸

We had an absolute blast creating these images together, and it's always fun to compare the behind-the-scenes footage to the finished photographs. Many of these images were created within just a few feet of each other, yet each has its own unique look and feel.

That's one of the things I love most about senior photography. With thoughtful planning, creative lighting, intentional posing, and a vision tailored to each senior, it's possible to create incredible variety without needing multiple outfits or locations.

Whether a senior chooses an Express Experience here at the farm, or a Signature Experience with unlimited destination options, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel authentically them while making the experience fun and memorable.

Why do I call them Experiences instead of sessions?

A session is something that happens to you.

An experience is something created around you.

Every senior I photograph has a different story, which is why no two Senior Experiences are ever the same. The planning, the locations, the creativity, and the final artwork are all intentionally designed to reflect who you are.

Long before I ever press the shutter, I have often spent hours learning about my seniors, scouting locations, developing ideas, and planning an experience that reflects their personality and story.

The photographs are important, but the experience of creating them matters too. That is why with me they will always be Senior Experiences.

One day, the uniforms will be put away. The instruments will sit quietly. The routines that fill your family's days right now will simply become memories.That is why I believe senior portraits should be about more than how you look. They should preserve who you are and what mattered during this season of life.

June is one of the best times to schedule senior photos in Minnesota. The weather is beautiful, the bugs are minimal, and locations are at their peak. Most of my summer dates are already full, but a few June openings have recently become available.

If you're a member of the Class of 2027 and still hoping to create something meaningful and uniquely you, now is the time to reach out.

For nearly two weeks, I've been working through an unexpected challenge here on the farm. What started as a frustration ended up changing my perspective on a lot more than I expected, becoming a lesson in gratitude, community, and connection.

Thirty years ago, I boarded my very first airplane on my way to Norway. I had no idea then how much that journey would shape my life, my faith, my photography, and my understanding of just how big the world could be.

Yesterday, surrounded by lefse, krumkake, fellowship, and Norwegian heritage at a little country church in southern Minnesota, all of those memories came rushing back.

This Mother’s Day carried both grief and gratitude.
