at our February meeting, Casey Ek was our speaker. He showed us a collection of his work and what he looked for in his photos and how he prepared. He talked about photography muscle. Taking many shots and taking photos from the minute he gets to the event . People are use to the camera before any of the activities really begins. Being the family photographer is an honor. He spoke about street photography in the same way. Start taking photos and look and see actions, activities,and people around you. Use your muscle, take many shots.
Casey likes to think about photo giving a description rather telling a story. He achieves this description by using shape, structure, and color. Notice details, lean into the light, what ever is available.
Our next meeting will be March 29th, at Bethlehem church at 6:00pm. Our March assignment is Farming.
