This is anxiety-inducing for me, but I need your help.

I’m building a portfolio around a more cinematic style of portrait photography. I’m looking for people willing to do a free session so I can practice and build out this style.

My social anxiety can make it hard to actually raise the camera, so I don’t practice street photography as often as I’d like. Being on a sunset cruise aboard the Princess of Manistee with my wife’s work gave me a low-pressure chance to push myself.

This is one of the ways I’m working through my anxiety, so expect more.

A goal of mine this Summer has been to work on my BTS and storytelling through photography.

I love going to sporting events and the like, and it’s really easy for me to capture the action.

But learning to see the other moments, and to capture those moments… that’s been a challenge for me for a long time.

A big part of this is anxiety about photographing random people, and my overall social anxiety.

I’m hoping to start telling that story, as I continue to push myself out of my comfort zone.
