๐ซ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ: โIโm too old to reinvent myself.โ ๐ซ
In exploring the idea of shifting beliefs, today I want to talk about age. How often do we hear it?
โWell, Iโm over 50โฆโ
โIf I were younger, I probably wouldโฆโ
โThat season has passed for me.โ
As though growth has an expiration date! As though confidence, reinvention, visibility, or trying something new belong exclusively to younger people.
I simply donโt believe that. Some of the most grounded, compelling, confident people I know didnโt become fully themselves until later in life.
Because age often brings something younger versions of us didnโt yet have: perspective.
๐ซClarity.
๐ซResilience.
๐ซA stronger sense of who we are.
๐ซReinvention doesnโt always mean becoming someone entirely different.
Sometimes it means finally becoming more fully yourself.
๐ซStarting the business.
๐ซChanging direction.
๐ซAllowing yourself to be seen with greater confidence.
๐ซSaying yes to the thing you once thought had passed you by.
And yesโฆ sometimes that even means stepping in front of the camera and realizing the version of yourself youโve been avoiding may be the most compelling one yet.
The shift?
From: โIโm too old to reinvent myself.โ
To: โI may be arriving exactly when Iโm meant to.โ
My model is also my Mom. She has completely changed the trajectory of her life and shares her story on social media in hopes of helping others who had the same issue with that she once had.
