I know this seems obvious, but hear me out. There’s more than one way to pay attention!

Pay attention to your surroundings. It sounds basic, but it’s easy to get tunnel vision when you’re focused on getting a shot. Stay aware of where you are and who’s around you at all times. You want to be positioned where you can create without ever taking away from the moment happening in front of you.

Pay attention to the little moments. When the play ends, don’t just sit on the sideline scrolling on your phone. Some of the best photographs come from the reactions, conversations and everything in between when the action pauses.

I’ve been using the dual camera system for a couple months now and it’s genuinely changed how I shoot. Way less shoulder/back pain after long games, and I don’t miss having cameras swinging around at all. It’s one of those upgrades you don’t realize you need until you try it.

Your social media isn’t just a place just a place to scroll or post randomly - it’s a living portfolio! Every photo you post is showing people who you are, what you do and what kind of work you create.

If you’re building a career in photography (or really any creative field) your feed is potential employers’ first impression of you. Make it intentional, make it consistent and make it reflect you! Be mindful of what you post as it all contributes to how people perceive your work and your brand.

It doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to show your perspective and style. This is your work, your brand, and people are watching!
