don’t get me wrong, I love a good ND field during golden hour… But that’s just not for everyone and that’s totally fine, if you need a little nudge to step outside the box - I’m here to push ya! 🙋🏽‍♀️

crazy to think the first time I photographed this family was just matt & jenni pregnant with olive who’s now days away from turning TWO!!!! 🩷

this time last year, the wind completely ruined our chances & on the last possible day… so this session last sunday was as beautiful + redemptive as it gets🥹

the land of the free, because of the brave.

today we honor over 1.3 million american service members who have given their lives in the last 250 years.

more than just numbers, more than a concept.
sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, all who never got to come back home.

they lived, they laughed, they loved and they gave everything so we could keep doing the same.

and to every single active service member who made the choice to serve with the chance of making the ultimate sacrifice, THANK YOU❤️

giving pieces of herself over and over, and somehow finding more to give.

happy mother’s day to all of the new moms, soon-to-be, empty nesters, angel moms, biological, in-law, step, half, bonus, spiritual and mother-like figures who shaped us all.

remind her how loved & appreciated she is, make sure she’s in the pictures (this is where I can help!) and repeat on a regular basis💘

dramatic… which is on brand… 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝. BUT, when you trust an idea your photographer has, it can turn into one of those “I’m SO glad we got that shot” moments & you’ll never know until you do it.

this was one of those moments. the wind & snow were doing their thing, making us all question why we live in ND😵‍💫🥶 I practically begged them to stay outside instead of in the warmed up jeep… troopers💪🏼

most of my favorite photos aren’t on a pinterest board or shot-list. they’re pure, intuitive, inspiration! I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who’s heard me say, “just trust me” and actually did❤️
