First roll of film in over a decade. Half the roll was shot without a meter. The real inspiration for me was to get physical in the era of Ai, but shaking that imposter syndrome is a side benefit. One of the reasons I chose not to pursue photography out of highschool was the advent of DSLR cameras and how much easier the learning curve got for everyone who wanted to become a photographer. The only way to learn when film was king was to record exposure settings in a log and then cross reference it a week later after your film was developed.

Took a deep dive to try and fix the film wind stop mechanism that prevents advancing the film after it has already been done. This is an old consumer grade camera and I got stopped by a riveted part. I was able to still get a little extra work out of the spring and it seems to be working now. If it were a problem that had to be fixed I could find a way, but the risk of the repair was climbing fast and for a nice to have vs need to have it just wasn't worth it. This camera is so much like a better version of the old clocks I used to work on for a living. Not sure how it took me so long to get here but I am loving it.

Earlier this year I did a branding shoot for a client that specializes in whole wellness rehabilitation. Looks like she made use of the photos in her website remake. It looks great, go see for yourself! Pamela was fantastic to work with.

Go hunt yourself down a new Tele (shouldn't be too hard.) This week: pay to play; ending methane flatulence; music year ending on a high note; and the latest from "Murder Ink." All this and Rachel tries not to get Whammed. www.durangotelegraph.com

Each photo in this series is saying more than a few words in a social media post ever could.

Working towards a greater project with different locations but the same light and softbox. Sometimes the backdrop material has to change depending on travel limitations. In the end, all edits will match in tone and lighting. A little more open than what might be normal, and a little harder light than what most would typically use.

It is always hard to watch the high country go into hibernation. Takes me months to accept skiing as an acceptable way to pass the time again. Funny how we change over time. See you next year soon-to-be-inaccessible.
