Meet Sparrow — part gentle giant, part runway model, 100% convinced he’s the main character. At just 6 months old, this guy doesn’t just wear a necklace… he owns it. Those beads? Not accessories. They’re his crown jewels. His ears? Not floppy. They’re couture. His gaze? Not innocent. It’s “I’m judging your life choices… but I’ll still let you pet me.”

He showed up to the studio like, “Where’s my designer collar? And can we get glitter next time?”

Quote from his manager:

“Sparrow doesn’t do ‘cute.’ He does ‘high fashion.’ His contract specifies only artisanal beads and organic treats. Also, he requires a 2-hour nap between shots. It’s in his rider.”

I’m excited to share that I’ve volunteered to run the Costume Contest at Mountain Hounds this year! Things may look a little different, but we’re planning for it to run just as smoothly (and be just as fun!) as ever.

This year we will have THREE categories:

🐶 1) Solo – One single dog in costume.

👫🐕 2) Couples Costume – Two participants total:
• Human & Dog
• Dog & Dog
(Exactly 2 in this category — no more, no less!)

🎭🐾 3) Group – 3 or more participants:
• 1 Person & 2 Dogs
• 2 People & 1 Dog
• 3 Dogs
• Or more — you get the idea!

We can’t wait to see what amazing, creative costumes you all come up with this year! Start planning now — it’s going to be a blast! 🎃🐕✨
