This was such a fun day! Not what I was expecting at all!! Thought I’d bop down…catch some Gary Hoey and hang out with Tracy and Ashley for a while and be home by 6 ish. But it was such a nice day and I had my camera, soooooo I thought I might as well see if I could catch a few shots. Thanks to Manchester Ink Link! I was able to get myself a couple of cool wristbands which gave me a very, very special vantage point for the rest of the event. The bands were FAN-tastic! (I already knew Gary would be great...but I didn't know much about the others...(I wonder if he would have played Linus & Lucy or Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree from his Ho, Ho, Hoey album if it was less hot out?). Fighting Friday and The Ragdolls were not only seriously fun to watch but they were both so kind and friendly to their fans. Both bands hung out after their sets for AGES afterward for autographs and photos. And last but not least, Recycled Percussion... Fabulous show! Fabulous Fireworks! Fabulous job putting this together with your Chaos and Kindness! The volunteers were amazing...and there were so many of them!! I got to chat with Tony Zane for a few minutes about how the event came to be and I was so impressed with how kind he was...and chatty, which made me way less nervous about not being able to come up with anything to say. I didn't have to. I felt like I was talking to a friend. He was genuine, kind, and he clearly cares about the overall mission that Chaos & Kindness strives for, but also cares about his friend Justin Spencer and his wish to bring back Sky Show to Manchester. A feat fit for such a group of yeoman!

I'm not great at tagging...but I did try my best because I hope was the first, in what becomes an annual event, just like it was when Rock 101 WGIR AM 610 used to do it.

We need more of this!
