This rose garden contains one of the largest collections of Old Garden Roses in the DC metro area. Most of the roses date back to the 19th century or earlier.

There are only three roses in the garden as recent as the early 20th century, 1924 being the most recent. I had the opportunity to shoot these images at the end of May.

Most of these roses have a very short life span. I was very lucky to see so many in full bloom. Enjoy the photos!
