A couple of shots today from Herbie, My Air 2S. This is Interstate 66 at Manassas, VA. Shots are taken from the south side of the interstate, the north side is getting into National Manassas National Battlefield Park territory which is no-fly.
The first shot is looking toward Centreville, with Washington D.C. about 35 miles distant. The clear path is a gas line right-of-way, and to the left just below the horizon is a quarry. The bridge carries traffic over Bull Run, which marks the county line between Prince William and Fairfax.
The second shot is of the west-bound rest area. I just liked the composition with the cell tower. Bull Run Mountain is behind the cell tower. I'm not sure what's behind just to the right of the rest area building. It's in the direction of Mount Weather, but seems too close. Any ideas?
