The College under the leadership of Dr. Melissa Stange has been awarded an Innovative Project Grant UAS grant from the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) to bring unmanned aircraft systems to students and community.

We are now offering one-on-one flying lessons to recreational flyers. Items covered: Basic operation and control, maintenance, FAA regulations, registration, safety. As a recreational flyer, you are required by the FAA to pass a knowledge exam through the FAST program, we can help you accomplish that goal.

What is TRUST? The law requires that all recreational flyers pass an aeronautical knowledge and safety test and provide proof of passage if asked by law enforcement or FAA personnel. The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) was developed to meet this requirement.

The standard service includes up to 150 high resolution still pictures shot in 20 megapixels and accompanied by a 2-5 minute HD video.
