Last week I photographed a branding session for a friend opening a yoga and reiki studio. We decided on a pace that was slow and simple, letting the space speak for itself. This is always my hope with sessions like this: that the experience feels calm, and the photos feel honest. 💜

A little weekday wisdom.
The holiday decor is now packed away, and (to be dramatic) with it went all the color and personality of our home. 🫤 It took all of two days for it to feel entirely blah and empty.

My intuition said we need a little Springtime in here. Maybe my midlife clock is now demanding seasonal decor year-round at this point... 🤷‍♀️ don't know. Then logic entered and said, No. We're not buying new things. No more waste.

So I did a little Danielle-math. The obvious answer was thrift shopping, and I knew exactly who to text, Farah🌞, my step-daughter and favorite thrift store meanderer. We went to in Leesburg. Little treasures and fun scenery everywhere.

A happy, little reminder that most of what we want already exists.
Even better, how rare it is to just mosey together. 🐢💚

Today is a sad day for me, but I guess all good things must come to an end. Today is my last day volunteering with 4Paws cat rescue. They have shut down the Manassas location, so it's time to move on and find a new way to help these cats find loving homes.

Along with our team, we have taken care of over a hundred cats in our Manassas location since I started volunteering with them over 5 years ago. We found many of them homes, and I even took a few home with me 😁

Even though this location is closed, 4Paws is still open at other locations in Northern VA, as well as . They have wonderful cats that need loving homes, so if you are looking to adopt, definitely check them out!

Documented the sweetest baby shower a couple of weekends ago and now I’m like… maybe we should've had a baby. 😂 jk — I like my sleep. 🍼✨ But seriously, these moments are my favorite to capture, a beautiful couple who will surely have a sweet, beautiful baby boy. So excited for the entire family! 🎉
