Don't ignore the plain looking image of the sage brush. Look closely. The sunlight in the frost created amazing colors, like nature's own Christmas lights.
Got into the ditch with the moose. Filled my rubber boots full of water.

Some more images from GTNP and YNP. Moose near the Gros Ventre River. Wolves on a carcass in the Yellowstone River (150 plus yards from the road). Grizzly a few miles outside the YNP East Entrance. And some scenic weather activity in Antelope Flats.

12 days in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks was not sufficient time to capture all there was to see. Missed some of the peak fall color, and weather obscured the Tetons far too much of the time for some of the shots we would normally take at Ox Bow. Bear sightings were non-existent in GTNP while we were there but proved much better in YNP. Moose sightings were reasonably plentiful in GTNP, but lacked some of the big bulls of past visits. YNP however, produced an amazing scene with the Wapiti wolf pack on what appears to be an elk carcass. We also viewed the Mollies pack on a carcass the day before, well not actually on it, because a bear took it over, but that scene was at least 300yds out and provided no quality photos at that distance. The Wapiti pack was much closer. Not much more than 150 yards out Reasonably decent photos were acquired with the Canon 500mm coupled with a 2x teleconverter for 1000mm on my crop sensor Canon 7D Mark II.

The Wapiti pack, consisting of 23 wolves at last count, was just down the road from the mud volcano viewing area.

A week in Grand Teton NP. Ok to be honest I don't even know which of my accounts correctly links to IG.

Internet access has been either nonexistent or useless. After a day of bear sightings, I have this to show for it. Well, it's one out of about 600 shots. This is Jam. Daughter of Raspberry. Almost 8yrs ago we photographed Raspberry and her new cub Snow. She kept Snow around for 3-1/2yrs. Grizzly's usually only keep their cubs around for about 2-1/2yrs. Well once again Raspberry has kept her cub around for 3-1/2yrs. She may well give Jam the boot very soon. We last saw Raspberry and Snow a mere 3 or 4 days before they parted. We did not get to see Jam as a small cub, but we finally saw her today. And quite possibly only a few days before they too will part ways.

Nikki was running short on card space. I said I would go back to the truck, move it, and bring her a card. On my way I heard a guy say something like "she's rolling around and playing with her foot". I paused to see and sure enough there was Jam rolling about. She sat up and began to play with her feet.

Playing around with Lightroom Classic. Have not had much time to learn it. Wanted to see what it would do with this shot from 2015. Originally my impression of the shot was it was over exposed and no good. However after playing with it, it ended up being a favorite from that trip.

Trying out . After years of editing in PS Elements I figured it was time to see what real photographers were using. Hopefully I figure out how their doing it as well. I need to learn this. I need to understand how to get the most out of my images and not just be pushing sliders till "I like it". Thought I'd start with one of the from at Antelope Flats.
