I'm usually a summer girl, but, for things personal to my heart this year, I'm okay with letting it go and moving onto the next season (both literally and figuratively, I guess). ❤

Buckle up. This is a long one. ❤

Watching families grow in front of my lens has filled my heart so much.

I have always said, if I won the lottery, I would do this for everyone free of charge.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. Many don't understand what it takes (on many levels, but especially financially) to keep a business above water.

I have always strived to provide only the best. Not just images you can cherish for lifetimes to come, but also the experience of your session. Whether that be a cozy studio, a client closet, a stocked fridge, or timeless art, I've wanted my clients to have it all.

For the ones that have watched me grow from a back room in my home a county away, to where I am now and have been there every step of the way, thank you.

To my new clients who also value my work and recognize my effort in making your entire experience not only detail-oriented and professional, but also personal and peaceful, thank you for choosing me.

This isn't just my "job" this is my livlihood, my "eighth baby" as I've called it. It's something I have grown from nothing and couldn't imagine not having in my life.

As many of you know, I had considered selling The Photo Barn and, because of my love and passion for the art and so many people whom I love dearly, I just couldn't do it.

However, I do have to be realistic about some aspects of running this "baby" of a business, and, like many of us in this economy, I have to make some difficult decisions. Fortunately, one of them is NOT letting go.

However, there will be some big shake-ups and changes before the holiday season starts. Some will require some adjusting (mostly for me) and some will mean big (positive) changes for all of my current and potential clients.

I'm not ready to let go and I hope you'll all hold on with me.

I absolutely love capturing this season; the excitement, the confidence, and the anticipation of everything that’s ahead. ❤

Surrounded by a field of flowers and the most beautiful golden light, this sweet girl was absolutely gorgeous, and she made this session feel so effortless.

I’m so thankful to my incredible friend and fellow photographer, Becky for so graciously letting us use her flowers and property. It was the perfect backdrop for such a beautiful evening, and I’m incredibly grateful for her kindness and friendship. 💕

If you still need to book your senior session, don’t wait too long. Senior deadlines have a way of sneaking up quickly, but I do still have a little wiggle room left on my calendar for a few more sessions.❤

There’s something extra special about photographing families like this one.

The ones who first came to me when their littles were just babies, and who still trust me to capture these sweet seasons of life.

That kind of loyalty means more to me than I can fully put into words.❤

It’s such an honor to watch your families grow, to be invited back year after year, and to help preserve these memories along the way.

What I cherish just as much is having so many of my clients become more than clients; they become friends.

We catch up on life, talk about the highs and lows, laugh through the chaos, and so often find ourselves chatting long after the session is over.

I’ve been behind the camera long enough now to witness something that still catches me in the heart every single time; the teenagers I once photographed are now grown, married, and placing their own newborn babies in my arms and in front of my lens.

There is something so deeply humbling about that. ❤

To be trusted not just for one milestone, but for the unfolding of a life.

To watch families grow in front of me, year after year, season after season. It is one of the greatest honors of my work.

And if there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that the cliches are true… time really does fly.

To the young parents, especially, living in the blur of long nights and full days: hold on to it all.

The tiny fingers wrapped around yours.

The soft weight of a sleepy baby on your chest.

The little sounds, the familiar smell of their skin, the way they fit so perfectly in your arms right now.

These moments can feel endless while you’re in them, and then somehow, they’re gone.

One day, the photos you almost didn’t take will be the ones you treasure most.

When you’re ready to preserve this beautiful, fleeting chapter, I would be honored to do that for you.

It’s more than what I do; it’s what I love. 💕

These sweet parents have dreamed of this moment for so long, and seeing their love wrapped around their precious daughter is nothing short of incredible.
