Holy cannoli… our sweet girl, Grace, is a SENIOR. 🥹🤍

Seriously… how did we get here?!

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is the unexpected privilege of getting a front-row seat to some of the most beautiful seasons of people’s lives. You blink, and somehow the little girl you’ve watched grow is standing in a field in front of your camera, a senior, on the edge of a whole new chapter. And goodness… what a bittersweet gift that is.

I’ve had the absolute joy of knowing this wonderful young lady along the way, watching her personality grow and change, and now getting to capture a little piece of the young woman she’s becoming. There’s something so special about that; not just documenting how someone looks today, but preserving a little piece of who they are in this moment.

Grace is beautiful, kind, hilarious, and just so much fun to be around. Spending the evening with her was such a joy, and I’m so excited to share this little sneak peek from her senior session.

Grace, I hope you always remember this version of yourself — standing on the edge of something new, with so much life, possibility, and adventure ahead of you.

Senior year is going to fly by, sweet girl. So let’s make sure we remember it. It's going to be a good one! 🥰

And if you need me, I’ll just be over here wondering how the heck time moved this fast.

I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has been patient with me and Waywind this summer. It has been one heck of a season.

Between a busy wedding season, losing my brother, my mom visiting from Alaska, senior sessions, and the back-and-forth of doctors' appointments — for those who don't know, Anthony has had multiple surgeries and specialist appointments since the beginning of the year, which has meant traveling out of the county twice most weeks — and, of course, the never-ending vehicle troubles...

WHEW. 😂

Sometimes life really does test you.

But through all of it, I remain steadfast in knowing that the good LORD will always provide a path. We just have to keep our feet pointed straight and keep moving forward. 🙏🏼

Truly, I am so thankful I took the summer off from classes. LOL.

Now, fall semester has officially begun, and I am officially a Liberty Flame. Say whaaaat?! 🔥😂 I am so excited to see what the future holds, even with all of the uncertainties that come along with it.

I'm also working on a pretty large project right now, and I could really use some prayers as I navigate what comes next. 🙏🏼

Most of all, I want you to know how incredibly blessed I am by the people who have trusted Waywind with their memories over the years; by those of you who continue to show up, support my work, and support my family.

I truly cannot put into words what this journey through the lens has meant for us. The opportunities it has brought, the doors it has opened, the people it has allowed me to meet, and even the simple fact that this little business has helped keep our bills paid and made those many doctors' trips possible.

Thank you. Truly. 🤍

For those of you who have hired Waywind before: the schedule is open for YOU. I would absolutely love to continue creating with you.

For those who are new to Waywind, I am sorry to say that I am not accepting new clients at this time. But please don't hesitate to reach out anyway! I have some incredible fellow artists in my network who I would be more than happy to point you toward. 🤍

Here's to whatever comes next.

One step at a time.
One frame at a time.
And trusting that the Lord already knows the way. ✨

Thank you for being here.

A Little Update from Waywind.

If you recently saw my announcement that Waywind is no longer accepting new clients at this time, I wanted to clarify what that means.

My schedule is currently quite full, and I want to make sure I can continue giving every Waywind client the time, attention, and experience they deserve. Rather than continuing to take on new clients and stretching myself too thin, I’ve made the decision to pause new client intake for the time being.

If you have hired Waywind in the past, this does NOT apply to you!

My existing and returning clients are always welcome to reach out and schedule new sessions. Whether you’ve worked with me recently or it’s been a little while, you’re still part of the Waywind family, and I’d love to continue working with you!

For now, I’m simply not taking on brand-new clients. This allows me to focus on the wonderful people who have already trusted me with their memories while keeping the quality of my work where I want it to be.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, support, referrals, and understanding. I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted Waywind to document the moments that matter.

New client intake is currently paused, but returning Waywind clients can book anytime. 📷

✨ A Little Waywind Update ✨

As many of you know, I took the summer off from school to focus on my family, my business, and preparing for the next chapter. Before classes begin again with Liberty University at the end of August, it's been anything but quiet around here.

I've been busy:
- Finalizing and delivering galleries
- Getting artwork and prints into the hands of my clients
- Planning for the Kettle River Music Festival, where Waywind will have a themed photo booth! Stop by for a fun keepsake—prints will be available on-site for just $5 each.
- And quietly working behind the scenes on something new that I'm excited to share when the time is right.

Earlier this year, I announced that I would be taking August and September off from regular sessions (with the exception of those who have already pre-booked). Looking ahead, I'd love to offer one last opportunity to book during the remainder of the 2026 season.

🍂 2026 Season Special
• $275 for a portrait session
• Full professionally edited digital gallery included
• Perfect for families, couples, seniors, maternity, engagements, and more
• Includes up to 5 people
• $45 per additional person for larger groups

WEDDINGS: Please note that at this time, I am closing the books for weddings, and HIGHLY Recommend:
- Liz Miller at Turning Point Photography Republic, WA
- Katelynn Figueroa at Figshack Photography

If you've been thinking about updating your family photos, celebrating a milestone, or simply documenting this season of life, now is the time.

Thank you for continuing to support Waywind. Your trust, encouragement, and referrals have allowed me to keep doing what I love while pursuing my education and building toward the future. I truly couldn't do it without this incredible community.

📩 Message me to reserve one of the remaining 2026 dates before they're gone.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend Friday Market on July 24. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

On a brighter note, thank you all for keeping me so busy! August is officially booked, and September is very likely closed as well, while I finalize existing inquiries.

If you're hoping to schedule a session later this year, or for 2027 please send me a message soon.

Thank you all for your incredible support! 🤍

Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of tagging along with Mountain Mist Farm to visit YP QuarterHorses and spend some time with their beautiful horses out at pasture. 🐴

Seeing these animals in their element was so cool. We got to be up close, and watch them as they ran, played, and soaked up every bit of that evening sunshine. Watching the foals frolic around, curious and full of life, was such a beautiful reminder of the care, dedication, and love that goes into raising healthy, happy horses.

I’ve followed Lyndsy and YP Quarter Horses for quite some time, and I have so much respect for what she and her husband are building here in Northeast Washington. Their commitment to their animals, their land, and their community is truly inspiring.

One thing I appreciate so much about Lyndsy is her genuine demeanor and her willingness to keep things as real as possible. She shares the beautiful moments, but she also educates people on what it truly takes to run a ranch; from the hard work, the responsibility, and the decisions that go into protecting the health and well-being of livestock and horses, she’s about as true grit as it gets. And I’m totally here for that!

These two images feature two of their available foals from this year. 🐴🤍

Left: A Gypsy Vanner draft cross stud.
Right: Palomino Filly.

If you’d like more information on these two sweet babes, or any of the other available foals, be sure to visit the YP Quarter Horses page and follow along with their journey.

Supporting and highlighting the incredible agricultural community we have here in Northeast Washington is such an honor.

The Pawprint Promise Gala is coming together, and I'm looking to lock in two important pieces to make this November's event a success... a venue and a caterer! 🐾

This November, we'll be gathering for an evening dedicated to giving back to the animals of our local animal shelter through the Pawprint Promise Project. It's going to be a night of community, an incredible auction featuring beautiful pet portraits, and second chances for the pets who need them most.

I'm currently ISO a venue in Ferry County that can comfortably host the event (100 + guests), as well as a local caterer who would be interested in helping make the evening special. If you own a space, provide catering services, know someone who does, or have a recommendation, I'd love to hear from you!

Every step forward brings us closer to making a real difference for the animals waiting for their forever families. Thank you for helping make this dream a reality.

📍 Venue and caterer recommendations can be sent to me directly or shared in the comments below. Let's make this an unforgettable night—for the pets. 🐶🐱💛

Some of the most important work at an animal shelter doesn’t happen during adoptions… it happens in the quiet moments.

The socializers are the ones sitting on the floor, tossing toys, offering treats, giving gentle pets, and helping scared, overlooked animals learn to trust again. Every wag, purr, and curious glance is a step closer to finding a forever home.

That’s exactly why I created the Pawprint Promise Project.

To shine a light on shelter pets, tell their stories through beautiful photography, and raise funds to support the incredible work being done for them.

Together, we can help every paw leave a lasting promise. ❤️

Editing galleries while my children play… right here at home.

It’s one of the greatest gifts this business has given me.

Some days it looks like balancing a laptop between snack requests, little giggles, toy explosions, and flower-picking adventures. Other days it’s squeezing in edits during nap time or while they happily play just a few feet away.

It may not always be quiet or perfectly organized, but it’s exactly where I want to be.

Every gallery I deliver is edited with love from a home that’s full of life. My clients aren’t just supporting a photographer… they’re supporting a mom who’s able to be present for the little moments while still creating beautiful memories for other families, all while paying the bills and keeping food on the table.

And for that, I’ll never stop being grateful.
