Sometimes, when I hear people say “you’ll miss these days” I roll my eyes. Not because I think I know better and that I won’t but because these days I feel like I’m simply surving. Treading water. Embracing the chaos of parenthood and my mind while trying to soak in every.single.moment. Sometimes I feel overhwlemed by how much pressure I put on myself to soak it all up, when my mind won’t slow down. But what brings me peace. What fills my heart and keeps me going is the excitement I feel with my babes reaching new seasons, new milestones; their growth excites me. I don’t know if I’ll ever reach a point where I miss this season, because man for me, it’s so damn hard right now. But when I think of the places my sweet babes will go. The adventures they’ll explore, their navigation of future challenges that’s what excitements. The world is theirs and the excitement of watching them become themselves, watching them trust themselves, believe in themselves. Man, that takes the cake to any newborn contact nap. However you feel, know that it’s valid. Your experience is real. Just know that you don’t have to love every stinking second of it, okay.

Anyone else love themselves a Monday after a holiday week. Man, it’s one of those in between moments that I totally forget about until it hits and let me just say this - boy does it make me happy.
Holidays are great, don’t get me wrong - time off, if you’re lucky your partners home (yay for sharing the load), gathering with friends and family, eating alllll the foods, and just slowing down and enjoying the little things; the magic through their eyes.
But y’all that Monday that rolls around after….. chillllle that Monday gets me so motivated.
Start of a fresh new week. Routines falling back into place, and fresh eyes and heart to deal with all things children and chaos.
No matter how you woke up today remember this, you got the chance to wake up, no matter what happens your wake up call is the ultimate gift.

Ever just get the feeling of pure intense admiration and love for your kids? I’d love to know when the last time you were in awe of soemthing your babies did!

Lately it’s been watching Aveline set boundaries. She ain’t having no bull and protects her peace and I just really think that’s so freaking cool and hope she never stops honoring herself and knowing her worth.

Obvsly can’t forget little man, his vocab and understanding makes me forget he’s only 2. Actually I think it makes him forget he’s 2 too haha.

Watching kids go from a lump of potatoes to little people is wild man. What’s something your kids have done that made you take a step back and think “I may not be doing everything right but at least I know I’m doing —— right” let me know below!💛✨
