I've known this family for years now. Long enough to watch them weather real storms. Long enough to watch them celebrate the kind of joy that makes you catch your breath.
This mama gives her sweet boy everything she has in her- you can see it in the way she looks at him, the way she shows up for him, the way she's built a world around making sure he knows he's loved.
We went to the creek for this session and something happened between the two of them that I didn't have to direct or pose or ask for. It just happened. That's the whole job, honestly- being there when it does.
