I like to pretend I am a wine connoisseur, but in reality I will only finish a glass of sweet white wine. I could live in 80-degree weather every single day, but I recently fell in love with downhill skiing and now *somewhat* tolera

te the winter. I believe you're never too old to learn something new (ask me about my adult gymnastics classes and piano lessons). And I always say my photography style matches my personality - I LOVE bright, colorful, joyful things! My goal is to pose you in a way that brings out natural, candid interactions, but never leaves you wondering what you're supposed to be doing (especially with those hands!!) Let's meet!

Alyssa and Jeff are getting married in July at Discovery World in Milwaukee. I believe these photos offer just a small glimpse into how much fun these two have together, and how much of a celebration that day will be 💚

It was a BEAUTIFUL day celebrating Natalie and Nick on Saturday. We were transported to another world in the Noble Victory Memorial Chapel in Delafield. Followed by a stunning indoor-outdoor reception at the Legend at Brandybrook.

Thanks to for meticulous planning and the beautiful floral arrangements by placed perfectly at each venue 💜

I tend to want to edit park benches out of the background of photos, but this one’s special. We returned to the park and the exact bench where Alex took Anna by surprise a year ago and popped the question!

I love getting to revisit these very special places with our couples. And this one happens to be at a small, tucked away park in Madison. One that I had to drive by earlier this week because I had never even heard of it â˜ș And it was a beautiful, quiet spot that seemed perfect for a proposal.

Our night in Milwaukee with Haley and Caleb was stunning! I still can’t wrap my head around how these city and beach views are captured just 10 minutes apart.

Haley and Caleb met through college athletics (which I think is one of the best ways to meet your forever friends and your soulmate đŸ„°)

What threatened to be a cloudy, rainy day at The Eloise last summer turned into the most beautiful blue skies. Cierra and Alex were most excited about their sunset portraits and I was so happy that golden hour delivered ☀

We always love our weddings at The Eloise! I love returning to a venue, especially at different times throughout the year. The sun hits a little different, the foliage changes. Nothing looks exactly the same, so we’re always finding new spots and angles.

We’ll be there again twice in July, and I can’t wait!

Some weddings are simple on the surface but tell the deepest stories underneath. Every chapter unfolding deliberately to bring not just two people together, but two families.

Sometimes it takes time for it all to come together, but at some point, it all starts to make sense. Something I have experienced in my own life too.

On Friday, the next chapter for Leah and Robb and their beautiful families began. They got married in the capitol building, surrounded by their family - followed by a quick stop at the Old Fashioned, as if it were a casual night out. Then they went home to a stunning reception with their closest friends.

There is a special place in my heart for the chapters that take a little longer to write. And for the families that form not just by blood, but by choice. We were honored to capture this part of Leah and Robb’s story đŸ©”

Oh, hey Madison đŸ€

These college sweethearts have moved across the country with each other, but they fell in love with the Edgewater (and the lake views), so they’re bringing their wedding to Madison in September!

We scheduled Erin and Jake’s engagement session months ago, knowing we had a short window where they would be in town for another wedding.

Erin sent me screenshots of her dresses, planning each outfit for each location. That bride and her dress, and the Capitol building deserve a moment 😍

We had the most beautiful evening with two wonderful people, and Madison gave us its best.

Plus it’s rare that we get to take engagement photos at the wedding venue, so it was fun to feature the a bit too!

Why many of our couples love doing a first look:

- It’s a beautiful, emotional moment to share with your fiance
- You get to spend more time with each other on the wedding day
- You can do most of your photos before the ceremony
- You’ll have more time to relax and enjoy your cocktail hour and reception
- It’s also a great time to read letters or private vows to each other.
- This makes for some beautiful memories, photos, and adds a great element to your wedding video!

P.S. We still have plenty of couples who don’t want to see each other before the ceremony, and that’s perfectly fine too!

You might be really set on seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle, and we’re here for that moment!

We just need to plan for all of the photos - with both of you in them - for after the ceremony.

I always recommend a minimum of 90 minutes for portraits between the ceremony and reception.

Spring is FINALLY here and it’s just so energizing to see life and color popping up all around us â˜șïžđŸŒž We kicked off spring engagement sessions with Heather and Kris at the Arboretum on Wednesday, and ended with a beautiful sunset by the lake (along with almost everyone else in Madison I think 😅)

These two brought so much joy and laughter with them - I usually feel like it’s my job to (try to) make people laugh during sessions, but these two literally kept us laughing the entire time. We love when couples make it so easy for us to capture their joy 💕
