With hearts full of love and faith, Izola & Jordan joyfully tied the knot at the Iowa City Newman Catholic Center, surrounded by family, friends, and the grace of God. Their love, rooted in their shared Catholic faith, was celebrated in a beautiful ceremony that reflected their devotion to each other and to Christ.

After saying "I do," the celebration continued at the Hyatt Regency in Coralville, where laughter, love, and dancing filled the night! Izola, a native of Brazil brought the energy, passion, laughter, and joy that if you've ever met a Brazilian...you know it! It was a day of pure joy, unforgettable memories, and the beginning of a lifetime together. 💕🙏

I had so much fun with K+H on their wedding day. The sun was out, colors where vibrant, and the energy for the couple was electric. The first look was set at Token Creek County Park, where H was overcome with emotion seeing his lovely bride in her wedding dress for the first time. You never know what reaction you'll get but once his eyes watered up, K lost it a little too.

The ceremony and reception moved on to the local Burr Oak, a great venue for music, food, events, and weddings. Everyone took their seats to sit center stage and witness the union of the two lovely people. They teased each other a little in their vows and more, that's just the type of humor and ease they share in their relationship.

They sealed their union with a kiss, and then it was on to the party! The music was bumpin', the open bar was going strong, and snacks, appetizers, and more were there to keep the energy flowing. You love to see it!

Wedding work takes you places you might not otherwise explore on your own. This was the case earlier this summer documenting K+L's special day. Nestled near the magnificent Mississippi River is Big Spring Nature Park-Iowa, where K+L tied the knot surrounded by family and friends. The lush and vibrant greenery, as well as the running sounds of water of the beautiful spring only helped to enhance the joyous occasion for all those present. The celebration didn't stop there as we moved on to a farmhouse property where smiles, laughs, and well wishes were abundant. Congrats to the lovely couple!

As winter slowly settles into the area, it makes photo sessions more challenging but there is creativity abound in this as well. The snow and cold bring a serene calmness that makes everything cozy in your life feel that much more appreciated. Every now and then, I get to do a second shoot, and I had the fun and pleasure of shooting with Art of Captures this past summer. The couple had a 'unique', funny, rip-roaring playful ceremony set up. There were tears of laughter as everything unfolded.
