Introducing Jordan, the 60th Miss Grapette Queen! ✨💎

You’ll notice a diamond featured throughout her photos. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Miss Grapette program and the diamond serves as a symbol honoring this incredible milestone. Their motto this year is “Celebrating 60 Years of Elegance and Grace” and I think that perfectly represents what this organization stands for.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Grapettes, let me tell you a little about them. The Miss Grapette program is so much more than a pageant. These young women spend countless hours serving their community, whether that’s helping at local food pantries, serving meals to veterans, volunteering at events and so much more. They also travel throughout Ohio representing the city of Geneva at festivals and community events. It’s an experience that teaches leadership, independence, responsibility and the importance of giving back.

When I asked Jordan about her time as a Grapette, she told me she would do this pageant in every lifetime because she simply loves helping people. I thought that was such a beautiful answer. It speaks volumes about who she is as a person and why she’s such a wonderful representative of this organization.

I truly had the best time during her session. Jordan is absolutely stunning but beyond that, she was kind, easygoing and such a joy to spend some time with.

And now I can proudly say I’ve had the opportunity to photograph two Geneva queens. 👑

Thank you, Jordan, for trusting me with such a special session and thank you to her family for tagging along and putting their trust in me to capture these memories. Also, a special thank you to Jordan for teaching me all about the Grapettes and the impact this organization has on the community. It was an honor getting to learn more about something that means so much to so many people.

Ayla Marie 🩷

There is something so special about being invited into someone’s home during these first few weeks of life.

I don’t take on many newborn sessions but when families I’ve gotten to know and enjoy ask me, it’s almost impossible to say no.

I waited to share these because I wanted April and Steven to have this time for themselves first. To soak in every little moment with their baby girl before the rest of the world got to meet her. One thing I will always stand by is that your baby deserves to be shared by you first.

When I walked into their home and met Ayla, my heart instantly melted. She was perfect. The kind of perfect that makes you stop and stare for a little longer than usual. So tiny, so beautiful and so deeply loved already. She spent most of our time together calm and content, completely unaware of how many hearts she had already captured.

As I photographed her, I found myself thinking about how quickly this stage passes. These sleepy newborn days feel endless when you’re living them but one day they’ll be the memories you wish you could hold onto just a little longer. The tiny fingers, the newborn stretches, the way they fit so perfectly in your arms - it all changes far too quickly.

Watching April and Steven with their daughter was a beautiful reminder of how much love can exist in one room. And even her four legged siblings were already so proud and protective of their newest family member. Ayla is growing up surrounded by so much love and that is one of the greatest gifts a child can have.

April and Steven, thank you for trusting me with these moments. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to preserve a season that is gone in the blink of an eye.

Congratulations again on your beautiful baby girl. She is everything you hoped for and so much more. 🩷

Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood 🤍

What better day to post these than today?

A few weeks ago, I met Alycia and Donovan at the courthouse in downtown Willoughby to officially tie the knot. They couldn’t wait any longer - they were ready to be married.

With just four close family members by their side, they made it official in a small and intimate ceremony. It was one of those moments that felt so simple, yet so significant. The start of a new chapter, years in the making.

And now, today is finally here.

Today is the day they get to celebrate this new season of life surrounded by the people who have loved and supported them along the way. The day they’ve been planning, anticipating and counting down to.

Before the music starts, before the dancing, before all the excitement that comes with a wedding day, I wanted to take a moment to share these memories from where it all officially began.

Alycia and Donovan, congratulations again. I hope today is everything you’ve dreamed of and more. Take it all in, hold each other a little tighter and never forget how this chapter started - with the two of you choosing each other, just as you always have.

Now let’s go celebrate, Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood. 🤍🥂✨📸

Indy is ONE! 🎉

Happy birthday to this sweet girl! I’m a day behind on posting these because I wanted to give mom and dad the chance to share these photos first and now that they have, I finally get to share them too.

It’s honestly so hard to believe that the tiny little girl I met last fall is already celebrating her first birthday. From the moment I met Indy, she completely stole my heart. Of course I already knew she was adorable from Kenzie and Chris’ posts but getting to see her personality in person was something so special. Watching little ones grow between sessions is one of the most emotional and rewarding parts of what I do and seeing how much she has changed since our first session together truly made me pause for a second.

The last time I saw Indy, she barely even moved at all, she was very much still a tiny baby. This time? She was running the studio like she owned it. Watching her explore, laugh, throw her balloons around and light up with those huge smiles made the entire session unforgettable. There is just something so special about seeing a little personality begin to shine so brightly at this age and Indy has the sweetest light about her.

And while she may not have been the biggest fan of the cake smash itself, the reactions were priceless and honestly made the session even more perfect. Sometimes those little unscripted moments end up meaning the most.

To Kenzie and Chris, thank you both so much for continuing to trust me with these moments for your family. It means more to me than I could ever properly put into words. Being invited back to capture milestones like this is never something I take lightly and I feel incredibly lucky every time I get to document another piece of your story.

Happy first birthday, sweet Indy. I hope your day was filled with so much love, laughter and all the happiness you bring to everyone around you. 🩷

Sammie & Lily 💛

Some sessions just mean a little more to me and this was definitely one of them. These two have recently become such a bigger part of my personal life and getting to freeze little moments like this for them feels so special to me.

Lily is truly the sweetest little babe and one of my tiny besties. The entire session she had me laughing nonstop because she recently discovered the word “stop” and every time she said it she’d throw her little hand up like ✋🏼 with the most serious expression. It absolutely took me out every single time and had all of us laughing so hard. Those are the moments I never want to forget.

And Sammie… watching you be a mom is genuinely one of the sweetest things. The way Lily looks at you, clings to you and lights up around you says everything. She loves her mama so deeply and you can feel it in every second you’re around the two of you. It’s such a beautiful thing to witness.

Thank you for trusting me with these moments and for letting me capture this season of your lives. I adore you both more than you know and already know these won’t be the last memories we create together. 🫶🏼

Madison High School Class of 2026 🎓

There’s something incredibly emotional about realizing the moments you were capturing all year long were quietly becoming “the last ones.”

The last football game.
The last basketball season.
The last homecoming dance.
The last senior night.
The last prom.
The last season of being exactly who you are right now before life carries you somewhere new.

This year, I had the privilege of photographing so many seniors from Madison High School and somewhere between all the laughter, outfit changes, long talks about the future and all the moments inbetween… you all became so much more than clients to me.

I watched confidence grow.
I watched lifelong friendships.
I watched parents standing behind me during sessions trying their hardest to hold back tears while looking at the little humans they raised somehow becoming adults overnight.

And now… graduation has come and gone.

Just like that.

That’s the part that gets me.

Because these photos were never just senior year pictures. They became proof that these moments existed. Proof of who you were before the world asked you to grow up and move on to the next chapter.

To every senior I got to capture this year: thank you. Thank you for trusting me with moments that your families will hold onto forever. I hope years from now you look back at these photos and remember the feeling of this season - the friendships, the excitement, the people who stood beside you and the version of yourself that was standing on the edge of everything you had dreamed about.

I also hope you remember me behind the camera hyping you up every step of the way, making you laugh, fixing your hair for the hundredth time and reminding you just how special this season of your life really was.

And now it’s your turn to go chase those dreams you spent all year talking about. Go see the world. Take the scary chances. Become everything you’ve worked so hard for. And when you get there… don’t stop there. Keep growing. Keep dreaming bigger. Keep becoming people your younger selves would be so proud of.

And to the parents… I see you too. The ones behind me wiping tears between shots, smiling through the heartbreak, trying to figure out how the years moved this fast.

I hope you know they carry your love with them into every next step they take.

Congratulations, Madison High School Class of 2026.

You’ll never all be here like this again… and I think that’s what makes this so beautiful. 💙⚡️

And to the Class of 2027… I’m ready for you.

Happy Mother’s Day to every woman who knows the depth of a mother’s love 🤍

To the moms, step moms, single moms, mother in laws, grandmas, gigis, fur moms, and mother figures… today belongs to every version of motherhood.

To the moms with babies in their arms, the moms with babies in heaven and the women aching to become mothers someday - there is a place for all of you here today.

Motherhood is carrying pieces of your heart outside of your body forever. It is loving someone so deeply it changes who you are at your core. It is sacrifice, softness, fear, strength, exhaustion, devotion and a kind of love words will never fully be able to explain.

It’s the rocking to sleep, the checking in one more time before bed, the silent prayers, the overwhelming worry, the tiny hands reaching for you and the feeling that no matter how much of yourself you give… you would still give more.

And for the women who carry the grief of missing their babies today or the ache of waiting for one… your love is just as real, just as deep and just as worthy of being honored.

Motherhood is not one story.
It is millions of different stories, all tied together by love ✨
