Maci + Austin ❤︎⁠

I have stared at this gallery for an embarrassing amount of time.

Seriously.

Choosing which photos to post felt nearly impossible because every single image felt like a favorite. Every time I thought I had it narrowed down, I’d find five more I couldn’t leave out. This entire gallery is absolute perfection and I am completely obsessed with it.

But honestly, that’s what happens when you put two people this in love in front of a camera.

Maci and Austin have the kind of love that can’t be posed, forced or faked. It’s effortless. Genuine. The kind of love you feel the second you’re around them. It’s in every glance, every smile, every laugh and every quiet moment in between. They have a way of making the rest of the world disappear when they’re together and that is exactly what makes them so special.

When they told me they got engaged, I don’t know who was more excited honestly - me or them. These two have been one of my favorite couples for so long and getting to document this chapter of their story meant the world to me. The second I got the news, I was ready for engagement photos.

And somehow, they still exceeded every expectation I had.

The beach was beautiful. The weather showed up in its own way. Everything just fell into place. But the truth is, this session was never about the location or the conditions - it was about them. Their connection is the kind photographers dream about capturing. The kind that turns a good photo into a feeling.

Every image in this gallery tells the same story: two people who are completely, undeniably and unapologetically in love.

These might look a little different than my usual posts but I will always respect a family’s decision to keep their children’s faces off social media. Your memories are safe with me.

The thing about newborns is that they change in the blink of an eye.

The tiny fingers. The little toes. The wisps of hair. The way they fit perfectly in their parents’ arms. These are the details that are so easy to overlook in the moment, yet somehow become the things we miss most as the years pass.

I don’t often take on newborn sessions but every now and then there is a family that has become part of my story, too. The kind of family I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside through time, celebrating milestones and preserving memories one chapter at a time.

Jessica and Chris, congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and trusting me, once again, to document such a meaningful season of your lives. You were one of the first families to take a chance on me when I returned to photography, despite not knowing me personally and I will always be grateful for that.

Over time, I’ve come to absolutely adore your family. Watching it grow has been such a gift and being invited back time and time again is something I never take for granted.

Meeting little Ottillie felt like the sweetest reminder of why I love what I do.

The Hannas 🤍

There is something so beautiful about the season of life right before you become parents.

Katie and Marcus are preparing to welcome their sweet baby boy, William and getting to document these final moments before their family grows was such an honor. From the excitement on their faces to the way they interacted with one another throughout the session, it’s clear that this little boy is already loved beyond measure.

And Katie? She was absolutely glowing. She looked so beautiful throughout the entire session. There is something so special about documenting the anticipation, excitement and love that comes before meeting your baby for the very first time.

As first time mom and dad, they’re about to embark on the greatest adventure of their lives and I truly don’t think baby William could have asked for a better family. The love, excitement and anticipation surrounding his arrival was evident throughout the entire session and it was such a privilege to capture these memories for them.

One of my favorite parts of this session was seeing William’s nursery. The nautical theme was absolutely precious and every detail was so thoughtfully put together. You can already tell how much love has gone into preparing for his arrival.

And then there were the fur babies. They completely stole my heart. As you all know, I absolutely LOVE when we get to include the furry family members in sessions and these two were no exception. They were the sweetest little companions and such an important part of this story. I loved getting to include them in these memories and watching them be part of this exciting season for their family. They truly made me smile every time they would come running over.

Katie and Marcus, thank you for trusting me to capture such a special chapter in your lives. It was such a joy getting to know you both and I left this session feeling so grateful for the opportunity to document your growing family.

Madison + Ben 🤍

I quite literally don’t even know where to begin with this session because it truly pulled at my heartstrings.

I’ve known Madison since she was a little girl. I’ve watched her grow into the incredible woman she is today and now I get to be the one honored to capture her engagement photos and in just a few short months, her wedding day too. Unreal.

Madison and Ben are such a sweet couple. From the moment they stepped out of the car, it was obvious how comfortable they are with each other. They have that kind of love that feels effortless. The way Ben looks at Madison, the way she lights up when he makes her laugh and the way they naturally gravitate toward one another without even thinking about it. It was all so genuine and so beautiful to witness.

There were so many little moments throughout the session that made me smile. The constant smiles, the sweet little kisses and the way they kept making each other laugh made it so easy to see how much they genuinely enjoy being together. One of my favorite parts was watching them completely embrace some of the sillier prompts especially playing airplanes. They were cracking each other up the entire time and moments like that are my favorite because they show that their relationship isn’t just built on love but on friendship, laughter and truly enjoying each other’s company.

When they first arrived, they told me this was their first ever couples session and that they were “awkward.” Let me tell you something, that is my favorite thing to hear. Nothing beats getting to show people that they’re not awkward at all, they just need a little guidance and a chance to be themselves.

And honestly? Within minutes, they were absolutely crushing it. They trusted the process, leaned into every prompt and made my job so easy. Ben and Madison were down for just about anything… except whispering fruits to each other. Ben drew the line there. He could not take me seriously. 😂 But I have to throw in a little curveball here and there to keep everyone on their toes.

By the end of the session, it felt less like I was taking photos and more like I was getting a front row seat to a love story. The kind that’s built on friendship, laughter, comfort and choosing each other every single day.

I had the absolute best time with these two and I cannot wait to watch them tie the knot. It’s going to be such a beautiful, love filled, heartwarming day and I feel incredibly lucky to be a small part of it.

Some families leave an impression on you and this was definitely one of them.

Meet Bethanne, Ryan and their two boys, Jaylyn and Roman.

The goal of this session was to capture sweet little Roman just as he is before he begins his journey of surgeries to repair his cleft lip. I think together we did exactly that. Roman is seriously one of the cutest little boys I have ever met and I feel so honored to have met him 100% authentically himself. He had all of us smiling the entire session just by being there. And when he smiled? My goodness, it was absolutely adorable.

Big brother Jaylyn loves being in photos with Roman but actually holding him wasn’t exactly at the top of his priority list. Honestly, I get it, you know the saying ‘boys will be boys’. And don’t even get me started on how far this kid can jump. He was definitely showing off for me because there is absolutely no way I could land some of those jumps without immediately needing medical attention.

Watching Bethanne and Ryan together was so sweet. You can tell how deeply they love each other and how wrapped up they are in their little family. While Grant helped keep an eye on Roman in the stroller and Jaylyn happily did his own thing, I was able to sneak Bethanne and Ryan away for a few photos of just the two of them. Those images are always some of my favorites because amidst the chaos, the schedules, the appointments and raising little ones, it’s SO important to remember the foundation of it all.

One day, these photos will tell a story. They’ll remind you of how tiny Roman was, how high and far Jaylyn could jump, how many giggles filled the afternoon and how fiercely loved your boys have always been.

Bethanne, thank you for trusting me to preserve this chapter for your family. It was truly an honor and I can’t wait to see all of you again. 💛

Lainey is ONE 🎉

Happy birthday to this sweet girl.

As usual, I’m a day behind on posting because I’ll never take that first birthday moment away from mom and dad. Those memories belong to them first.

But I truly cannot believe Lainey is already one.

Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege of seeing this family several times and every single time Lainey has been exactly the same - sweet, content, easygoing and an absolute joy to be around. Some babies take a little time to warm up to the camera. Some have big feelings about being photographed. And then there’s Lainey, who always seems perfectly happy just being herself.

She has the sweetest little presence about her. The kind that doesn’t demand attention but somehow captures it anyway.

Watching her grow this year has been such a gift. Not just because she’s adorable (which she absolutely is), but because she’s one of those babies who leaves an impression on you. The kind that makes you smile the second you see her.

Now let’s talk about this cake smash.

Because while most one year olds approach cake with at least a little hesitation, Lainey wasted absolutely no time getting started. She was determined to enjoy every bit of that frosting and honestly, I respect it.

Meanwhile, her brother and sister were standing nearby keeping a close eye on the situation and trying to convince mom that maybe they should get involved before there wasn’t any cake left to share. Whether they were concerned siblings or just wanted frosting for themselves is still up for debate.

As funny as that was, what I love most about these photos is how much they feel like her. Sweet. Happy. Unbothered. Completely content just enjoying the moment.

Megan and Jonathan, thank you for continuing to trust me with your family’s memories. It means more than I can ever put into words. Being invited back to capture these chapters is one of the greatest honors of what I do.

And sweet Lainey, what a joy you have been this past year. You are so deeply loved and it shows in every interaction your family has with you. I feel incredibly lucky that I’ve gotten to watch a small part of your story unfold and capture these memories along the way.

Introducing Jordan, the 60th Miss Grapette Queen! ✨💎

You’ll notice a diamond featured throughout her photos. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Miss Grapette program and the diamond serves as a symbol honoring this incredible milestone. Their motto this year is “Celebrating 60 Years of Elegance and Grace” and I think that perfectly represents what this organization stands for.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Grapettes, let me tell you a little about them. The Miss Grapette program is so much more than a pageant. These young women spend countless hours serving their community, whether that’s helping at local food pantries, serving meals to veterans, volunteering at events and so much more. They also travel throughout Ohio representing the city of Geneva at festivals and community events. It’s an experience that teaches leadership, independence, responsibility and the importance of giving back.

When I asked Jordan about her time as a Grapette, she told me she would do this pageant in every lifetime because she simply loves helping people. I thought that was such a beautiful answer. It speaks volumes about who she is as a person and why she’s such a wonderful representative of this organization.

I truly had the best time during her session. Jordan is absolutely stunning but beyond that, she was kind, easygoing and such a joy to spend some time with.

And now I can proudly say I’ve had the opportunity to photograph two Geneva queens. 👑
