Erika Diaz Photography Intimate weddings and Elopements. I’ve been in the field for 6 years and have been loving every second of it. Things I enjoy:

COFFEE—yes, I’m an addict.

Here’s a little bit about my life:

I’m based out of Madison, WI and I’m a happily married girl :)

I am infatuated with photography—I can’t begin to describe what it does for me! The ability to capture a beautiful memory and being able to do that for someone else fulfills my creative cup like nothing else. New Girl. I totally love the dorky shows! Thrifting! I can’t resist a great mid-century fin

Until next time, Madison 🫶🏼🤍

As I say goodbye to this chapter, I'm filled with gratitude for the memories, friends, and growth. This place will always be home.

My last gallery in Madison.
And it somehow feels right that it’s with them.

I’ve had the honor of documenting their journey from engaged, to married, to parents.
Every milestone. Every chapter. Every quiet, in-between moment that becomes part of a family’s story.

Each time they invited me back, it wasn’t just for photos —
it was trust.
It was intimacy.
It was the greatest compliment I could be given as an artist.

Watching their love evolve has been one of those rare gifts in this work — a reminder that photography is so much more than images. It’s history. It’s legacy. It’s proof that time moved and love grew.

Closing out my Madison chapter with their gallery feels like a gentle exhale — an ending wrapped in gratitude with a couple who allowed me to witness love becoming a family.

To them, and to every person here who let me into their lives:
thank you.
For choosing me.
For trusting me.
For letting me hold a piece of your story.

You will forever be part of the legacy I carry forward.

Here’s to love, to growth, and to honoring every chapter we’re brave enough to close.

Xx,

Erika

Thirteen years.
Hundreds of love stories.
Countless memories that have shaped who I am.

Last Saturday, I photographed my final wedding of the year — and of my career. Even as I write this, it still doesn’t feel real. This work has been my heartbeat for so long — my art, my purpose, my way of connecting to so many incredible humans who let me witness the most sacred moments of their lives.

This day was extra special. It was the wedding of the brother of one of the very first couples I ever photographed after moving to Wisconsin — the couple who believed in me before anyone even knew who I was here. To stand behind the camera all these years later, capturing another love story from the same family, felt like life gently folding back on itself — a full-circle moment of grace.

This decision didn’t come lightly. Photography has been one of the greatest loves of my life. It’s taught me how to see, to listen, to hold space for others. It’s taken me to breathtaking places and introduced me to souls I’ll never forget. It’s allowed me to witness beginnings and the raw, unguarded beauty of love in all its forms.

But the universe works in incredible ways. Sometimes it whispers that something new is waiting — that it’s time to slow down and honor a different rhythm. Our family is moving out of the country — a dream we’ve carried quietly in our hearts for years. This move has shown me that stepping back, creating space, and being present is exactly where I need to be. My heart is with my growing babies now, and my time feels more precious than ever.

While I’m saying goodbye to weddings for now, a small part of me will always be open to the quiet magic of intimate elopements and celebrations of love — especially in Colombia, where a new chapter of our story begins. I’ll be following the pull of the heart, creating only when it feels deeply right.

Here’s to love, to change, and to trusting the timing of your own becoming. 🤍

There’s something about the Northwoods — the scent of pine in the air, the golden light slipping through the trees, the laughter echoing over the water.

H & K’s day felt alive — bursting with energy, joy, and the kind of love that makes every photograph hum with warmth. From the stillness of their vows to the wildness of the dance floor, every moment felt both fleeting and infinite.

It was one of those weddings that reminds you why you fell in love with documenting love in the first place — raw, real, and beautifully human.

Some weddings just carry a quiet kind of magic — the kind that doesn’t need grand gestures to move you. ✨

Their day was filled with tender glances, soft laughter, and moments that spoke louder than words. Every detail felt intentional, every embrace sincere.

It was one of those days that reminds you why documenting love in all its forms is such a gift. 🤍

Kira & Ben’s love is the kind that makes you believe in forever—timeless, intoxicating, and beautifully steady. 🤍

I’m endlessly grateful to the incredible vendor team who poured their hearts into every detail of this day. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. ✨

And to Kira & Ben—thank you for your complete trust. Hearing you say again and again, “We trust you, Erika. We know you got us,” was the most rewarding gift. It’s that kind of faith that allows me to create freely and wholeheartedly, and I’ll never take it for granted.

The kind of day that lingers in your heart long after it’s over ✨ Cameron & Lily’s August wedding was filled with golden light, contagious laughter, and joy that wrapped around everyone present.

Her laughter—pure, unfiltered, intoxicating—became the soundtrack of the day, and every moment felt like a reminder of what happiness looks like when shared.

Grateful to have witnessed and documented such love, such light, and such unforgettable joy. 💛

There’s a special kind of honor in being invited back, time and time again, to witness a love story as it unfolds. From their wedding day to this new chapter, I’ve had the privilege of watching their lives expand in the most beautiful ways.

This maternity session was quiet and tender—full of light, expectation, and the gentle joy that comes with preparing for new life.

Work like this reminds me why I pick up my camera: to hold still the fleeting, in-between moments so they can be remembered exactly as they felt. These images gave me life.

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared here, but not for lack of beauty. My days have been overflowing with love stories, quiet celebrations, and the kind of work that makes my heart pause in gratitude. Life has been busy in the best way—with new beginnings unfolding and some exciting news I’ll be sharing soon.

But today, I want to begin here—with this sweet, intimate wedding. A day woven with slow love, soft glances, and the unspoken poetry that lives in between moments. There were no grand productions, only two souls choosing each other with depth and intention.

It’s these kinds of weddings that remind me why I do what I do—capturing not just what it looked like, but what it felt like. The stillness, the tenderness, the kind of love that makes the whole world slow down 💛
