Just finished a painting!

A fellow artist and friend of mine joined me at Vilas Park in Madison where we did some Plein Air painting! This is an art practice where you bring your supplies outdoors and create art from the scene in front of you! With this painting, I started it outside and finished the details later.

It’s not my favorite painting, but Plein Air is super fun and very relaxing. I would say it’s the equivalent to watching a Bob Ross video and I highly recommend it if you like to be outdoors and do something creative once and awhile.

Getting a painting of your furry friend can be a big investment that not everyone can afford, so I wanted to offer a service that was less expensive! I will definitely still be open for oil painting commissions, but will now have smaller colored pencil drawings as well.

My art is now on exhibit at the UW-Madison Arboretum !!! It will be there through June 27th, so if you're in the Madison area, go support all the wonderful artists that donated their work, its free!

Also, all of the artworks will be auctioned off later this year and the money will go to help conservation efforts within Wisconsin which is something I am very passionate about! I am happy giving away this piece knowing it's for a good cause.

Today I was notified that I have been accepted into the Art Fair on the Square! If you don't know, this is one of the largest art events in the state of Wisconsin! This is one of the biggest accomplishments in my art career so far and I am very excited to participate.
