Happy New Year!

I usually try not to post so late in the evening for engagement purposes but I cannot fight it anymore. I am a dang night owl lol.

I'm just learning to work with WITH my fibro-body and brain instead of against it.

I debated for a LONG time whether or not I would ever officially bring up my disability up in a professional setting but I think you guys *deserve* to know, as my biggest supporters
Although, that's a story for another day. I DO also want to be more open and personable with my people, I feel as though I've been holding back a bit.

2022 began wonderfully for me and my business but ended pretty rocky personally, which lead to me having less attention and energy to put back into my business during the season in which I should've been THRIVING. One of my goals for 2023 is working on being more consistent and vulnerable with my online presence and with communication.

I will be sharing my Portrait and Wedding Galleries as blogs this year to make sure my target audience is actually reached, and so I can ramble a little here on here 😅😂

My absolute favorite Muse😍

I know that I often rant about EVERYONE needing to take updated photos more often and that we all need to create and capture new memories.. but I've been a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to my own household- terrible, I know, Im working on it lol.

For those who don't know, Josh is my very loving and super supportive boyfriend of almost 5 years. Although he was cranky in the photos because I was bugging him for photos right after a dad pulled up with two *super loud* kids and they decided to fish elbow to elbow with Josh even though there was an entire pond 😂😂 He was mad they scared away the fish LOL. He is usually much more smiley lol.

Anyways, as you must imagine- running a small business is pretty time consuming. It only took 3 summers for us to find our outdoor groove together lol. He fishes and I whip out the laptop at a table nearby to crush my to do list. You can absolutely enjoy your time together without having to share the exact same hobbies.

It's National Dog Day and it's only right I show off my gorgeous gorgeous gorls 😍🥰

These are by no means perfect 😂 They were the subjects for testing out a new lens a couple of months ago, it was a super hot day, and we were kinda near a semi-busy highway so there was plenty of wrangling, and Vegas HATES the camera - always has... you can see her giving me the side eye at the end 🤣 that was her way of saying "wrap it up"

Happy Tuesday Y’all!
How’s everyone feeling this week, so far? My week has been a mess so far lol so I am in the mood to share some lightness, beauty, and positivity with the world right now.

I want to share a "sneak peak" quick from a family session that was very special to me (for MANY reasons).


I was originally planning to share once my “extras” were edited and delivered, since I captured so much content that day; but this has been my busiest busy season yet and it honestly is just taking longer for me to circle back to the extra images after the promised gallery amount were delivered. SO, let’s consider this a sneak peak for now ☺️

Apparently, my “long lost” sister told my niece that she wanted some updated family photos for Mother’s Day this year… and my wonderful, thoughtful niece went out and found ME, out of all the photographers in THEIR area (IOWA), they decided to pay for my travel from Wisconsin to Iowa and I am sooo glad they did!

It was my first out of state project this year so that alone was super exciting since I’ve been wanting to travel more as a photographer 🥳 butttt on a personal level; my assistant (okay, boyfriend, lol) and I agreed that it was literally the best weekend we’ve EVER had, period. I can’t even begin to explain the healing this trip provided to all of us, as a family, and now we all have some beautiful photos to remember such a tender and intimate time spent between us all.

P.S. HOW FREAKIN' CUTE ARE MY GRANDNIECES REPPIN' DADDY'S MARINE STATUS?! 🥹

The answer is "the cutest".
I am not biased, you are LOL.
