It's been a while. I've been enjoying time with my kiddos, getting back in touch with my creative side, appreciating the beauty all around me, and rediscovering my love of photography. There's something about being in nature that grounds me, especially in one of my favorite places.

Haven't gotten to play around as much with photography as of late. Been on a bit of a hiatus as I completely lost the drive last year, but then my husband called me outside to witness this beautiful sunset. First thing I said was "I need to get my camera." I can't remember the last time I had that come out of my mouth; it's been that long. But because I was afraid I wouldn't make it back in time, I used my phone instead. It felt good shooting in manual again, even if it was with my phone. Capturing/freezing little moments in time, that's something I forgot that I considered to be the most important when being a photographer. I'm not sure exactly when, but sometime in the next few months I'll pick up the camera again with all the love I used to have and give it a go again.

Little "Before & After" for the latest photo restoration I completed. I tried to preserve the photo grain as much as possible, and I did fix the exposure levels to bring back subtle details that got lost when scanning the original photo. How beautiful did this turn out? Can't wait to get it back to the clients so they can enjoy their restored family memento!

So ignoring the slight variation in lighting, a little sneak peek "before & after" with this gorgeous photo I have the privilege of restoring. Judging by the stamped date on the back of the original print, this is from the 30's. I don't think they even make this particular photo paper anymore! Still working on the face there, but already loads better then it was an hour ago!

Almost a SOOC image (may have cropped it a bit and got rid of a bit of red eye). This is what happens when the external flash is being temperamental and you tell the clients they can be silly for a couple shots while you're testing the flash to figure out why it's not cooperating. These guys were good sports and very fun to work with! Sneak peaks to be posted at the end of the week!

Newborn Session Photos signed, sealed, and (in process of being) delivered! Baseball and Penn State were used with gusto in this session, and the little peanut was so much fun to work with! With respect of the parents' wishes, photos will not be posted to this site.

Absolutely in love with the shots I got over the weekend for a newborn session! Such a cute little peanut! Granted, I'm a bit biased being one of his aunties and whatnot but all the images look great. Cannot wait to finish prettying up the images for the newest addition of the family!
