After 11 years in business as Gallery West and a lifetime of pretty much working nonstop. I have decided to retire and close Gallery West effective May 31. We will be having our last First Friday event on May 1 with a great retirement party for me featuring music by some of my all-time favorite musicians, EG Kight and Caroline Aiken. So come celebrate my retirement and get some of Kirk’s amazing photography at 50% off and listen to these fabulous women! Details will follow shortly.

Kirk, besides being an acclaimed rock photographer whose work is featured at Gallery West, Kirk was also was the tour manager for the Allman Brothers and used to live in the "Big House" - now an Allman Brothers Museum. On Friday February 6, Gallery West is celebrating 11 years in business in downtown Macon. Eleven years of great music photography, original portraits and amazing folk art. When we first opened 11 years ago, we were a gallery dedicated to only one artist, music photographer Kirk West. We now have 9 different artists sharing the walls of Gallery West and I could not be prouder of how wonderful the gallery looks and the quality of the artists that we represent. If you have not visited the gallery lately; you need to stop in and check out all the new Art on our walls.
