🛡️ Armor and Adornment: Muscogee Fashion Rooted in Identity. Bright City is back with its 7th edition.🛡️

Opening November 7, "Armor and Adornment" showcases authentic clothing made and modeled by Muscogee (Creek) people, captured through the vision of Macon-based photographers. This is fashion as both art and identity—rooted in traditions yet alive in the present.

Curated by Tracie Revis of the Muscogee Nation, this exhibit illuminates and showcases stunning photography in downtown's unique spaces.

The 4th Annual All Hands Art Festival was a huge success! A big thank-you to the artists, volunteers, and visitors who came out to celebrate these art mediums with us. In spite of a surprise thunderstorm cutting the first day short, we still had over 600 people join us for the weekend to shop for incredible work by regional artists and watch demonstrations by some of our talented local artists and craftspeople.

The rain proved just how incredible our artists are. Artists from Macon, across the state of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia rallied together to support each other in the torrential downpour. Even when everything got soaked, all but a couple packed up their art and returned to reset and do it all again on Sunday. Their passion for their craft showed up in their incredible workmanship as well. The art mediums and crafts represented at this year's event included pottery, ceramics, polymer clay sculpture, polymer clay jewelry, paper mache sculpture, handcrafted metal jewelry, wood turning, woodworking, blacksmithing, blown glass, sculpted glass, fused glass, stained glass, and pyrography.
