I spent the first 5 years of my life in the Detroit area, then moved up to Northern Michigan in 2004. I had my first Kodak point-and-shoot camera in 2009 and took advantage of it on my family trips across the country every couple of years. Between Pittsburgh in 2009, New York City in 2010, Philidelphia, the Atlantic Ocean, and Washington D.C. in 2012, and Arizona in 2014, I took advantage of the p
hoto opportunities. I owned a Lumix and a Canon point-and-shoot after the Kodak decided to quit. I had used those for a couple of years until buying a Nikon Coolpix in 2015. That was the camera I used not only for taking pictures of sporting events, but for my very first senior session and yearbook pictures my senior year in high school. It was still a point-and-shoot but the megapixels and quality of the photos were higher. That camera lasted me until the summer of 2017 when I knew if I wanted to gain new skills and improve my knowledge, I needed something a little better. That's when I bought my Nikon D90. I have since then aquired numerous lenses and attachments that I always have in my camera bag. In the one year of college that I took in 2016, I not only had a Photoshop class, but I also took a Digital Photography course online. Both of those classes helped me tremendously. In 2017, after finishing that year of school, I continued to enhance my photography knowledge and do a lot of self-teaching. I decided to subscribe to the Adobe software in 2018 and downloaded Lightroom and Photoshop onto my computer. It has been one of the best purchases I have made. Looking back at my photos before I even knew what Lightroom was and comparing them to now is a drastic change. I started my own photography Instagram page in July of 2015 on top of my personal page made 3 years prior. I gain 'likes' and 'followers' daily and I appreciate the support so much. Thank you to all that have helped and continue to help me on this journey!!
