Just like that, the 2026 Lilac Festival has come to an end with the Grand Parade. Always one of my favorite events to capture each year—from the floats & horses to the excitement lining the streets, it’s such a fun tradition to photograph.🪻📸💜🌿

Cold, rainy, & absolutely worth it. The 2026 Mackinac Island Lilac Festival Grand Parade was such a fun day to capture! From the floats to the crowds lining the streets, there were so many memorable moments throughout the day. We even got quite the show on the ferry ride home! From lilacs in full bloom to some of my favorite island workers & horse-drawn carriages rolling through town, the past few days on Mackinac Island have been nothing short of beautiful. The wind has definitely made its presence known, but it’s only added to the magic of capturing this special season.
