My first birth, I FOUGHT! Drum music playing in the dark hot shower of the hospital as I grit my teeth through every back to back contraction. 🥁👹 It was an experience I felt that I hardly survived. I had to PROVE myself… to me… and to the world. 💪 Since then, a lot has changed. 😌

I no longer saw birth as something to beat/fight/survive… but as my greatest teacher. 🤲 I humbly trusted her to show me what I needed to see. 🌀 To allow the waves to carry me, break me, cleanse me…

Birth can be easeful, pleasurable, … and it’s always honest.

This coming weekend alternative birth support will be gathering in Verona for an open house. Women… we have options! From chiropractors to pelvic PT! If you need support before during or after, we are all here to help.

Some changes coming to our monthly women’s circle.

🗓️ We will gather every FIRST Saturday of the month, from 2:00-4:00pm.

📍Our new location will be the spacious and beautiful Subforce Jiujitsu, in Lyndhurst NJ.

💞 After 5 years of offering free events, I am making the switch to a donation based, where women can rsvp via eventbrite. It is not about money (I’m not going to get rich off of $5-20 donations.) the purpose of this is to energetically commit ourselves to showing up and carving out time in our VERY packed lives.

My message to expecting mothers... Dream bigger. You are more powerful than you have been told. Pregnancy is designed to stretch our capacity, but we are not meant to hold it all alone. Find mothers who have walked the path before you. Fortify your boundaries like never before. Love yourself, for you are garden in which the next generation grows. And should you need a place, somewhere grounded, to land and be witnessed... I am always here.

As we say goodbye to spring, I want to share my musings.

🌸If the tree didn't let go of its flowers, it would never bear fruit.
🍎If the tree didn't let go of its fruit, it would never plant seeds.
🌳It is not just in the fall🍂 that we let go... but in every cycle, in every moment, there is a death that is bringing life. 🌱

This spring stripped me down to the bare bones, and gave me the opportunity to reevaluate everything. It is scary to feel like nothing is working, and we are not promised a brighter more fruitful future... However! I believe that if we stay in alignment, it is natures way to provide. And as we soak in these early summer days, I feel the goodness coming in big ways.

The Earth is my teacher. She teaches me how to birth with simplicity, to let life unfold. She teaches me how to let go... of ideas, identifies, old versions of myself.

🌳Her giant oak trees remind me that I am young and naive.
❄️Her winters teach me to slow down.
🌧️Her rain helps me notice how much I am holding.
🌞Her summer teaches me that what once looked impossible is blooming with endless possibilities I couldn't see.

I could go on and on... BUT

We have also been estranged. Too many days I choose to stay inside. I used to get mad at my body for feeling sick. I used to think the plants outside were just weeds. I don't watch enough sunrises. I take FAR more than I give. But I am a work in progress, and she seems to be there for me no matter what.

There is nothing we want more than to care for out kids. What if it was easy to care for them when they are sick. No drug stores, no doctors, no complicated herbalist books! I have supported my family outside of the medical system for years, and I am so excited to share this accumulated knowledge so that it can become second nature for you as well!

Never buy cough syrup again! Never reach for the Tylenol again! And let this be your gateway to deepening your intuition, your relationship to your body, and to the vitality for your whole family.
