There’s something incredibly special about documenting your family in your own backyard.
The place where your kids run barefoot through the grass, where summer evenings stretch a little longer, where bubbles are blown, games are played, and memories are quietly being made every single day.
Backyard sessions hold a kind of magic because everyone feels at ease. Kids can explore, climb, laugh, and simply be themselves. There’s no pressure, just connection, movement, and the beauty of real life unfolding naturally.
Years from now, these photos become more than portraits. They become reminders of the home you built and the little world your children grew up in. The tree they climbed, the garden you cared for, the swing they never wanted to get off of.
Sometimes the most meaningful place to document your family isn’t somewhere grand or far away. It’s right at home, in the spaces where your love lives every day. 🤍
This session was apart of a workshop I did with the amazing .colaphotography - it was such a special night learning and growing with Allison with this beautiful family and the other talented photographers. We photographed together, sat with each other, edited together, laughed & cried together. We gained friendships and grew as photographers together. So blessed to be surrounded by so much support with these ladies, all about growing together no competition with each other. I know we all cannot wait for the next work shop with Allison!
