There is something so incredibly special about being trusted with moments like this. šŸ¤

A surprise proposal is more than just capturing the moment someone says ā€œyesā€ā€”itā€™s the little details, the planning, the excitement, and the anticipation leading up to that one unforgettable second.

I had so much fun helping prepare all of the details behind the scenes for this beautiful surprise and making sure everything came together perfectly. It was even more special getting to pair up with Samantha Taylor Photography and work together to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment from every angle.

Today, Iā€™m thinking about all the mothers Iā€™ve had the honor of photographing ā€” the ones in the thick of raising babies, chasing toddlers, loving teenagers, and holding their families together in a million quiet ways.

The way you comfort, sacrifice, nurture, encourage, and love so deeply deserves to be celebrated every single day. These photos may freeze a moment in time, but the love behind them is what truly lasts forever.

One day, these images will mean everything to your children. Proof of the way you looked at them, held them close, and loved them through every season.

This year, Iā€™ve been trying to be much more intentional with my workā€”focusing on sessions that truly mean something, that tell a story, and that fuel my creativity in the best way.
Iā€™ve already had the honor of photographing so many meaningful moments this yearā€”from a mama preparing to begin her cancer journey, to a beautiful family welcoming their rainbow baby, and so many more in between.
These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do.
There are still so many special stories to tell this year, and I plan to approach every single one with love, grace, and gratitude.

šŸŽ„ Christmas may be over, but my heart is still very full.

I always feel a mix of emotions the day after Christmas ā€” thankful for the memories, a little sad itā€™s over, and also excited to start looking ahead. Today, for me, looks like easing back into work, finishing up galleries, answering emails, ignoring the tornado in my house, and reflecting on just how special this season was.

So now Iā€™m curious about youā€¦
